how often do you change the compass tho? if you keep up with the release at some point you have 100% an area and move on from there. same with all the region-specific gadgets like the chasm stone (which you actually don't want equipped all the time for a certain achievement) etc.

point is I hardly switch stuff anymore, either because there's no need to or I can't be arsed. would say mihoyo is also aware of it, the that one fishing-pole gadget can be used without equipping it, I'd assume stuff like that will work the same in the future.
I'm fairly new to the game, so I'm doing catch up. Might be why I find the gadget issue so tiring.

maybe, but you really don't need to switch that often honestly. even compass and whatever circumstantial gadget you use, you'll most likely pass the area a few more times after you finished all the (hidden) quests etc, plenty of time to use the compass then - plus straight following the compass all the time makes you miss other stuff, it's like skyrim making a beeline for the questmarker.
up until later inazuma I had the same notion to do everything in one go, then I figured I'm running through most areas multiple times anyway (especially when you get into artifact farming), so no need to stress myself with it.

back in 1.0 we didn't even have a compass!!11 *shakesfist*

I got greedy again after getting raiden and spent all my Yelan savings trying to get Ayato's sword and got Raiden's spear instead. Everytime i get bored the gambling addiction takes over.

While it sounds nice, now i have 2 jade spears gathering dust in my inventory and i'm not that much of a fan of engulfing lightning anyway, i think it's a bit overrated, altho the passive alone nets Raiden over 450 atk with my 270 ER so i admit it's very good on her so i guess it could be worse...

Even with the pathetic 10 free fates from anniversary, i wont be able to guarantee but i might get lucky on the 50/50 so i'm pray preemptively.

BTW the entire fontaine line up has allegedly leaked a while ago and i didnt see it mentioned here so here it is, as always take it with a grain of salt

Keep in mind that these (allegedly) still in concept art stage and are bound to change. The blue girl with the top hat is supposedly the hydro archon and there are only 2 males (lol).

Nothing new other than some very random dehya moveset leaks that i wont trust until the beta. Alhaitham got nerfed in the beta but he was insanely op so i saw it coming. He's on field dendro so his power will depend on his application but if you have nahida you wont be missing much without him. I lost all interest on him, sadly.

that one fucking trash artifact in a list of 1400+
who are you kidding, they're all trash

gonna be honest, these all look pretty generic. i know this is early concept art and they're likely to change a lot before release but still, the only ones that kind of stand out are the little one and the one who looks like she's from a bloodborne gacha

I think what hurts the most is that Fontaine is supposed to be inspired by 1900~ France which limits the asthetics considerably compared to other regions, so you get these corsets and uniforms and it ends up look like generic weeb shit. Also note how half of them are BLUE and the other half is RED, allegedly because they're 2 groups from two different factions that are in conflict.

I'm sure the community will hate them at first but eventually like them later. Everyone hated Raiden and Nahida's designs and nowadays they're considered god tier. Heizou and tighnari also got mocked hard but they look waaaay better in motion than they do in art.

The hydro archon is also (allegedly) teen female model with claymore so i wonder if she will actually have a different moveset from the usual slow hard hitting claymores.

According to questionable reliability of leaks, sword apple Bloodborne girl isnt from Fontaine but from Mondstat

maybe, maybe not.

and that's what pisses me off, I don't mind the layers of RNG, but dealing with it is absolute ass, especially in a game that tries to be casual as fuck.
right now you have to carry every potentially good artifact around till you got the artifact exp to level it and see how it turns out, and because it's RNG as fuck you have to because you need every chance to maybe get a good artifact you can get.

the easiest solution would be to up the sources for artifact exp tenfold since the real issue is getting a good artifact in the first place (which is gated by resin anyway) and then not have it turn out complete crap after leveling it up. there's simply no need to have everything capped and limited, even more so if it makes dealing with it a shitshow.

that were mostly the loud retards in the community and some twitter troons trying to bank on the game's popularity to stir shit. turns out china doesn't give much fucks about western identity politics.

fontaine's element is hydro, which would mean we would finally get a hydro claymore user so you know it's gonna get changed

I watched a video with a suggestion of food types that increased artifact type chance. Say you are looking for a goblet, eat this food and you have some arbitrary increase in finding said goblets while it's active. Anything to swing a little of the damn RNG a bit

Literally never had that issue and I've spent so much fucking time in the pale flame domain that I'm legally obliged to pay rent to those two vishaps before killing them
It could be a week or more of grinding before I get something even theoretically usable, and as a result I always have a huge surplus of +20 dump artifacts as well as a bunch of exp dust that is just gathering... dust because I've only had to use it twice or so. And by "had to" I mean "I forgot that I had about a hundred useless +20 artifacts".

Meanwhile I have been struggling daily to stay below the 1500 artifact limit since before 3.0. This game really shines a light on my hoarding tendencies.

alleged Dehya and Mika talents + cons (no scalings yet)

1673892841967.png 1673893047444.png

tl;dr

>Mika: Eula
-Skill throws ice projectile and increases team physical dmg and attack speed for a bit
-Burst buffs the team so anyone who normal attacks will get healed based on mika's HP
-passives enhance skill, unique passive shows monstat materials (like Klee)
-c1 gives faster heal, c2 more buff stacks, c4 some energy and c6 gives 60% phys crit dmg for buffed teammates

summary: Mika is a physical + atk speed buffer and healer. He is obviously made for Eula because atk speed makes her burst so much stronger but other than eula, rosaria, razor or even zhongli, you're probably better off using Diona or layla. At least he seems fine at c0 unlike faruzan.

>Dehya
Okay so dehya has a reallly weird sounding kit and there is no gameplay yet so i'll try to conceptualize

-Skill part 1: Dehya puts a sword on the floor and creates a ring like albedo. If an enemy gets damaged, an AoE pyro attack will proc on them every 2.5 seconds (also a bit like albedo). If the skill is on field and dehya cast again, she will do a stronger leaping jump attack and hit the floor, reseting the circle.
-Skill part 2: Allies inside the circle will get some level of interruption resistance and part of the dmg they take will be absorbed by dehya instead, until a certain limit. This means Dehya is essentially facetanking for you while offfield.
-Passives: A1 gives dehya 60% damage resistance after skill for 6s, this is obviously so she doesnt instantly die. Her A4 gives her 20% + 10% x 5s regeneration if her health gets low every 20s, meaning she can technically self heal for free over and over.
-Her unique passive gives her faster speed during day, the reverse of rosaria.
-Her burst is a unique transformation that throws away the sword and she starts doing fire punches and kicks for some time. Her skill will change during this burst, just like cyno's.
-Her cons are simple things but it's interesting how her C1 gives her HP scaling on skill and burst, as if she doesnt have that by default.
-Dehya ascends with HP% btw.

So yeah, until we see gameplay, Dehya is looking really confusing. Her skill is basically pyro albedo with poise increase and damage mitigation but her burst turns her into a field dps. Those dont seem to synergize at all but maybe that's the point, if you want to play her off field just use skill and if you want to play on field use burst? She is definitely not designed around burning and burning like everyone kept saying tho, her skill is too slow for that.

no one gonna talk about the names we can't name wanderer with? i have a crackhead theory about those. namely "rexlapis" and "morax" cannot be used nor does it get a response and "traveler" the same thing, but the other demon names are all allowed.

I'd give it another couple of days. I'm more interested in how well they work with others or a proper demonstration of how Dehya is supposed to work.

Yeah, dehya is getting a lot of hate for her relatively low multipliers right now and hp% ascension but i think it might be another kokomi situation where people are underrating how convenient she might be on practice. Having a decent off field pyro aplicator with good AoE who doesnt need to burst (like xiangling and thoma) is very convenient, and she still doubles as a pseudo shielder for no reason.

We also have no idea how many hits her skill/burst actually do so dont multipliers cant be trusted for now and the range might make a huge difference. If the skill proc is big then she should be good on burgeon and if it does a lot of hits it makes a good dps and burning/melt enabler. Only gameplay leak will tell.

Showcases have leaked. I'd share, but I'm too retarded to do it on mobile.

Mika looks fun, Dehya looks cool.
