Yeah, the issue is he’s not crying anything, he’s not doing anything when the fight was way less he would yell and scream on Twitter and have these crazy press conferences and talk about the books that WBD had him read about being a challenger brand and all this shit and now they’re actually fighting him in a noticeable way Not just with NXT but by genuinely boxing him out of pretty much any business opportunity he could ever have and he’s fucking silent.

It’s genuinely like an MMA fight or some shit where they let the dude tire himself out in the early rounds and are now just beating the shit out of him.

Here’s the WWE ESPN debut, same day as All Out.

AEW fans laughed and laughed. It’s a marathon not a sprint. They bragged online endlessly about how that was cope from WWE. They bragged about how HHH was just bitter because NXT was losing. They talked about how AEW would soon beat raw. Turns out it truly was a marathon. WWE saw the marathon. AEW sprinted their way into giving WBD ownership of their company and burned out because of it, and WWE was just pacing itself through the marathon.

He wouldn't have been any higher up the card than he was as himself. It'd just be a silly mid-card comedy gimmick. Maybe they'd do angles with him coming out as different personalities like Mick Foley did or if he was still around in the mid-2000s he could have had a tag team with Hurricane.

It would've worked as a mid-card gimmick where he hated how raunchy the Attitude Era was, but there was really no chance of Owen becoming world champ or even a regular main eventer in 1999 despite what smarks would have you think. I thought he was great and actually enjoyed the gimmick in 1999 (as short as it was) but the WWF was just stacked with main event level talent at the time (Taker, Austin, Rock, Foley, and later HHH)

Funny thing is that even in 1999 I kind of agreed with him. I thought gimmicks like Godfather were cringe and just too try-hard. I even thought Val Venis's gimmick was stupid, although he was a talented performer otherwise.

And before anyone points it out, yes, Kane has lit people on fire multiple times on television. The difference here is, and try to follow me on this one, that Kane's gimmick was that he was a big scary monstrous psycho, so it's entirely within his character to pull shit like that. If the Miz was in a feud with John and suddenly threatened to set R-Truth on fire, it'd be just as fucking stupid. Even worse are the gaggle of retards in the comments acting like it's top tier heel work. It's fucking cringe. Not only that, but I think it's finally pushed me to the point where I can't fucking stand MJF anymore.

And just when I thought that him telling that story about letting a girl die in a car crash was reaching into Katie Vick territory, they pull shit like this and expect me to take this seriously.

MJF fall from grace is something that should be studied, he should've jumped the ship to WWE when he had the chance.

I don't know how much mileage Hunter would've gotten out of them. It seems like his range is limited to being an over-the-top mustache twirler as a heel or trauma dumping crybaby as a face. I thought there was more to him than that but given how much creative control he's given I doubt he's the old school wrestling savant that people saw him as years back.

Almost every wrestler on AEW has what I call Ziggler Heat. Meaning no matter how good they are in the ring or how charismatic they might be, I can't get behind them because they'll always be hobbled by shitty booking and terrible storyline. FTR was the hottest tag team in the world two years ago. Now they're look warm midcarders on a good day

Owen was pulled from essentially being in a great position for a fun feud in the wake of the Montreal Screwjob and could've been one of those top-tier guys you could slot in if you needed a world title program to freshen things up. He never would have won the title or been put into a position where he'd be relied on long term at the top as there's no way Vince would have allowed it in the wake of Montreal, but he could've been a lot better positioned if Vince simply was business about the whole situation (see also: WCW Invasion.)

Unfortunately, they completely cut him off at the knees (...or kicked his leg out from under his leg...) and made him look like an utter geek against Shawn and Triple H, including putting the cracker-as-fuck white Canadian dude into the Nation of Domination.

The Blue Blazer gimmick was just the latest in whatever humiliation rituals Vince was wanting Owen to go through and was a go nowhere gimmick on a bridge to nowhere. Even if he had stuck around, Austin would've likely have kept him waaaaaay down in the midcard fucking around with Val Venis or whoever due to the bad blood over his neck injury, so regardless of how you sliced it, Owen was fucked if he had stuck around.

not really sure how this counts as a big show, it's no different then any other show they do, this also is no different then the roster they use every single time. This is only getting posted here and 4chan because of Kidd Bandit, who yes is a retarded tranny, but that horse has been beaten so much it came back to life and died again. This is literally not notable in anyway unless it were posted just to farm reactions to bandit.
