Lmao at the way Becky Lynch gets booked for her matches. She's supposed to be a heel, but she comes into a 3 on 1 scenario, stops to have a side fight with Renee Dupree, while doing planchas onto Tozawa and still manages to beat Natalia clean with a tap out. lol
I mean they're 3 of the biggest jobbers in the company. If she couldn't do that the women's IC title would've been ruined for good.

AEW has reportedly extended Danhausen's contract because of time missed due to injury.
His deal was said to expire in July of this year, but the company has added time to keep him with AEW until well into 2026.
It is believed that Danhausen asked AEW to not extend his deal as he was reportedly ready to leave.

Hasn't this happened several times in AEW? Meme wrestler shows up, buzz dies 15 minutes later, they get hurt, Tony stops using them, then they ask for their release before having their contract extended.

I don't watch a lot of AEW but Khan definitely has a problem with hiring guys and then not using them once the buzz wears off.

That's one of the problems with AEW in the first place. Tony has this "new toy syndrome" for new wrestlers that he hires then he throws them to the storage once he's done playing with them. Have too much talent you don't utilize and they just bleed your promotion of money, that should be obvious to TK but no, "let's just hire people here and there."

He's gotten a bit pickier in the past year or two and doesn't jump on every free agent of note any more but there are still a few people knocking around that were hired to 5 year deals off the back of 5 minutes of IWC fame.

He could probably just release Danhausen from his deal and he wouldn't look for any more money because he knows Punk will get him on to NXT.

There's an old series of movies about a famous mexican wrestler "El Santo" wrestling against creatures like vampires, or aliens.

That guy's supposed to be an alien threatening to kidnap El Santo btw, who stands his ground and claims he'll wrestle until he dies.

What i'm trying to say here is that it's still real to me, dammit
MST3K riffed one of those movies.
El Santo!

Does anyone have the numbers on who the biggest ratings draw in AEW is at the moment? Not that it really matters given the gradual dip they're dealing with, but I'm curious as to who connects more with their television audience.

Big Justice and the Rizzler
I'm embarrassed to admit that Big Justice unironically makes me smile. I love how some middle aged never-was indie wrestler turned tiktok celebrity somehow is able to return to wrestling and work better than talent less than half his age. Getting paid big money to do a job you love with your kid at your side looking at you like a hero is the american dream, as far as I'm concerned.

I was laughing at Peacock when the rumor was them getting just the NXT pay-per-view. Somehow it’s worse.

WWE sped through their obligations with peacock doing things like 2 night SummerSlam so they could get on ESPN basically at launch and now Peacock is settling for TV specials.

In the years that come and people begin to talk about WWE burnout, as every entertainment property has ups and downs, this might be one of the first examples. Asking customers to keep a subscription for just SNME and nothing else.

As everybody can tell WWE is trying to box out AEW basically. Getting them taken off of the ESPN website, not a bad perk of being partnered with ESPN.

Good thing Tony Khan is a savvy businessman who totally isn't being propped up by Daddy's money. The Snowman doesn't melt!
Yeah, I’m more of an AEW fan than WWE by a gigantic margin, but holy shit is Tony not equipped for this fight. WWE quite literally spreading to every notable streaming service to shut out AEW while Tony is still talking about how he refuses to think about offers from non WBD.

ESPN/internationally Disney in some regions
Peacock/NBC/USA
CW/Paramount because UFC counts
Netflix
Fucking Tubi
A&E

and FOX already fell through as they tried to negotiate Shockwave and it didn’t work.

So who is left? Let’s say WBD get out of the AEW business, who the fuck can AEW even try to negotiate with?

So Clash in Paris is the last Peacock PPV?

What pirating sites do you guys use cuz I don’t feel like paying for Netflix then using a VPN.

Haitch learned from Vince well. Strangle the competition's media distribution and thus market share

Mainsite.top is the site everyone else takes streams from and gives no credit to. It also has a vast library of WWE WWF WCW AEW ECW etc.

AEW just did the most boring time limit draw I’ve ever watched where one of the teams for literally no reason spent 30 of the last 60 seconds getting out a table. It was a tournament final and this team literally never known for weapons or hardcore said fuck it we need a table NOW. Then they just said fuck it both teams get the title shot. So a tournament for weeks with no winner.
