From what I understand, they want an english team with a (white) english driver on top. Basically they are in heaven rn and Max and red bull are the devil
I don't remember the last non-British (or Anglo-adjacent ie from Commonwealth nations) WDC who wasn't villified outside of Raikkonen. Max? villified for not being English. Vettel? Same. Schumi, Alonso, painted as villains. I suppose there's Hakkinen as a relative uncontroversial champion but I wouldn't be surprised if this is only because there was no British contender during his winning years and acted like a Schumi stopper.

Hamilton's relationship with race engineer is a fucking disaster and has been all season.
Hamilton needs an engineer that'll wipe his ass and tell him he's the bestest boy. Adami isn't bono so isn't going to do that.

It's great to see all the cultLH lot basically admitting lewlew needs someone to do the technical work for him by saying Adami isn't setting the car up right.

Speaking of race engineers, looks like GP is staying with RBR according to ESPN1 re: Max. Unless that new Ford power train is an absolute wreck, I’m expecting big dawg to be back in the saddle again

Whenever I hear Adami speak, I always get the impression he is a half step behind, as he struggles to communicate with Hamilton via English.

Either that, or Adami is a tad retarded himself.

I wonder if next year is going to be a complete dumpster for Hamilton as new regs can fuck up drivers as he's clearly not liked the current regs type of racing. Though it's Ferrari in new regs and generally they're dogs the first year so we might get more Ferrari gold.

If you guys are expecting anything other than mediocrity from Hamilton, you’re setting yourself up for heartache. He continues to drive only because he receives a ludicrous paycheck and it his gateway into his beloved socialite events. Also, without F1 being associated to his name, he devolves into a literal ‘who?’ Sir Lewis Hamilton, you might say… Brian May of Queen, who has definitely reached more people than Hamilton will ever in his lifetime plus some, was knighted in 2023 and no one knows who he is until specifically mentioned.

The part is that he's never branched out to other racing series outside of F1 feeders once he got a seat. Schumacher was even willing to try other series alongside Alonso, now Max is being bitten by the Endurance bug where does it lead him?

That is why I question his entire “I live racing” spiel. If he did, he’d be taking every opportunity to do so, or at least be more actively involved in it. He’s selling off his rare and highly sought after cars in his personal collection for other pieces of art. I don’t know the guy personally, but his actions don’t really scream wanting to “live racing” to me.

He might still be really passionate for the sport, but the slump has bogged him down. No clue. Not like he has anything else to prove to me either. From the outside looking in, from the fan perspective, I just wish he put as much effort into his craft as he did his gay gala events.

I think he's more interested in fashion than racing, which is totally fine as he has 7 world titles, but if you no longer have the passion, just retire so someone who does can take a valuable seat.

My honest opinion though I think Hamilton is overrated, I genuinely like he didn't come from money or connections like most, his dad seems like a genuinely sweet man and the best dad in world to work that hard to allow his son to chase his dreams.

Does he have a simulator in his living room, RV, and jet? Does he spend every waking moment that he’s not in a real car in the sim? Does he participate in other series for fun?

Max is the only driver on the grid who truly lives racing and it shows.

And what’s remarkable to me is that Max genuinely enjoys all of it. He can’t get enough. I’d bet if opportunity arose, he’d drive one of those derelict buses around in a figure eight destruction derby race. Obsessive? Maybe? I’d love to be in a position to get paid to do what I love and challenge myself to be the very best at it.

I legitimately see Max as the best contender for the Triple Crown of this generation though he'll likely have some difficulties in Indycar. I swear when he was born the first thing he grasped was a steering wheel.

As I understand it, his mother gave up racing because she was pregnant with him.

In other words, he's been ending racing careers since before he was born.

My name is Max Verstappen. I was an international race car driver. One day, a baby carriage rolled out onto the track, so I swerved into the retaining wall to avoid it. The car burst into flames, but the baby miraculously survived...I was that baby!

It would be great to see him succeed where Alonso (mechanically) failed. If anything, I want them joining forces for 24 hours of Le Mans and setting a record for the biggest gap to 2nd.

Hilarious stuff from Abu Dhabi, courtesy of Hamilton

I know people hate Hamilton because he needs to believe his own hype but it is Ferrari who bought that hype. They didn't buy hamilton because THEY won half a dozen championships. He did. Ferrari nerds need to stop pretending they are a good team that aren't carried to middle of the pack by pure skill. They will never win until the engineering team is cleaned out.

Compare to Aston Martin who literally has Stroll who is behind the car. Ferrari fails their drivers.
