It depends. I've contended that a whole new set of regs favors younger drivers because they have less muscle memory for the older regs. So if everyone were the same age, I'd say sure.

If "good drivers" should be able to adapt, then why is Kimi out-performing George? I know I'm going to get a lot of smartass answers on that one, but the fact remains is that George is one of the best drivers on the grid, and talk prior to the season starting was that this would be "his year". Similarly, Charles is supposed to be just as good as Max according to some (I would contend no, but it's been said, so I'm taking it into consideration). So why hasn't he adapted?

And, if good drivers adapt, why is Max not beating the pants off of everyone else (my contention is that he's bottling it, but that's speculation)?

"Adaptation" is a nice idea, if it were all things equal, not just regulations.
