Isnt there enough awful city circuits?View attachment 5263664
Someone told me it looks like a dead pig and I will never be able to unsee it. Kind of fitting too.

They sure don't think so. Don't forget they're still pushing for a NYC street race.Isnt there enough awful city circuits?
I had no idea the layout was this shitty.View attachment 5263664

This layout design looks like something that would've been acceptable for a shitty Mario Kart ripoffView attachment 5263664

If F1 can’t find another male driver to take up the role of designated yellow flagger, a female driver would be funny as hell imo.And it's not like these women have additional challenges, let's face it, if you were a woman who could come anywhere close to a Latifi you'd be in an F1 car in no time, the sponsors would eat that shit up.
I think one common difference here is reaction time for both. Men are just so slightly faster and that can make a lot of difference in e-sports (time to kill in shooters is typically milliseconds) and would definitely affect motor sports as well. Physical attributes matter a lot more in motorsports however. But even in the most reaction time reliant form of motorsports which is less physically demanding (drag racing), there are very few women who have competed.E-sports, well, that's it's own disaster zone, but I think there might be something.
Motor sports, I don't know if we have that down to a science. We know what makes for a good lifter or football player, even a little bit for Chess, but for motorsports, do we know what makes for a good driver?
Very scenario dependent. Can be zero if its a gun with instakill criteria, but typically 100-350.(time to kill in shooters is typically milliseconds)
This is the future of racing, or at least the one Liberty wants. Bad street circuits in cities that should never have them in the first place.Isnt there enough awful city circuits?
Thing is, I find the comparison with female drivers to be potentially quite interesting. Would women physically be worse at racing than men? Obviously F1 drivers are athletes, but in very specific ways, and being lighter is always a plus, so they might actually be very good at it potentially.
Problem is that there are no women that can compete, and while there aren't, you can try to polish that turd all you want but it's not going to work. Putting them in series with men is just going to emphasize that fact and lose women drivers any respect they may have. And it's not like these women have additional challenges, let's face it, if you were a woman who could come anywhere close to a Latifi you'd be in an F1 car in no time, the sponsors would eat that shit up.
To be fair, it looks slightly less shit than the Caesars Palace parking lot circuit did.View attachment 5263664

It's the Sphere, it's a venue for all sorts of events, concerts, sports, etc. They can project things on the outside, and the inside is basically covered in LED screens. Don't think it's actually in use yet though. I will neither confirm or deny if it's a Death Star under construction disguised as a venue.View attachment 5269189
What is the pseudo Death Star monstrosity at Turn Eight? the track appears to go in and out of it.
That is The Sphere™, located at the Venetian. Its a huge stadium for concerts and sportsball but at night the whole thing is a massive 2.3 Billion dollar screen to advertise bullshit at you. Sometimes they light it up like the earth or the moon.View attachment 5269189

I assume the Google Map of the circuit was showing the projected line that Grosjean would take through turn 8, were he still driving a Haas in F1.And the track is supposed to go around it, not through it..
Or in more modern times, if they projected an image of Scott McLaughlin on it.I assume the Google Map of the circuit was showing the projected line that Grosjean would take through turn 8, were he still driving a Haas in F1.
I'm late, but I was at IMS, I have an excuse, teacher. This is the future of racing, or at least the one Liberty wants. Bad street circuits in cities that should never have them in the first place.
Most American cities are built on grids, which makes them horrible for racing. The original Detroit layout was bad, the Chicago race was bad (despite all the Nascar shills defending it to the death), the original Las Vegas race was bad and in a parking lot, etc. Somehow, Indycar still managed to pull one off, which I am absolutely shocked by.
Notably, Chip Ganassi, who DOES NOT EVER TALK ABOUT CONTRACTS spoke up and basically called Zak a nigger over Palou's contract in a press release. You have to know Chip to understand how deeply the man had to be pissed off for that.Tangentalliy related, Alex Palou is having a contract disagreements agin. He's trying to get out of McLaren's for the upcomming season(s) and I can't blame him, unless someone poaches either Lando or Pisatri there is no F1 seat there for a while. He's already received an advance on the McLaren contract so would have to pay it back.
