When you consider how relatively preserved Zandvoort has remained since its return to the calendar, there really is no fucking excuse. It's more or less the same automotive rollercoaster it always was, just with more gravel traps and wider run-off areas.I was excited when Mexico City was announced to be coming back in 2015, right until I realized that meant Tilke would get to ''upgrade'' yet another classic track. I can just imagine the little faggot COOMING as he paved over the godly Peraltada corner.
Ferrari are due to not show up for a second race in a row then?
I think I have my bet for next week's Screwderia Screw Up. They make it through the blockade but forget one of their trucks.Ferrari are due to not show up for a second race in a row then?

Stoffel Van Fail: truly one of the cockroaches of this sport. Are they bringing back Hartley and Kvyat too?How the hell Stoffel got anywhere near an F1 contract again I don't know.

Probably the end for Mick since he is replacing Hulk.
These seasons happened while I was getting the hell out of California, so I'm low-info. Is there something wrong with Stoffel other than being hopelessly slow?Stoffel Van Fail: truly one of the cockroaches of this sport. Are they bringing back Hartley and Kvyat too?
Modern day pay driver, basically. These seasons happened while I was getting the hell out of California, so I'm low-info. Is there something wrong with Stoffel other than being hopelessly slow?
It's insane how we had a period in F1 from 2008 - 2017 where almost every single rookie who joined the sport never amounted to shit. I can count the newcomers who ended up having success during that time (MV, Ric, Checo, maybe K-Mag and Kvyat at a push) on one hand. Maybe a second if you want to include everyone that managed to get at least one podium, like Kobayashi, Grosjean, Maldonado and Ocon.Stoffel came from the shit generation as it will always be known. You had Palmer, Stoffel, Hartley, Chilton, Wehrlein all coming through junior series with enough points to get into F1. With Bianchi being the one shining star of the lot.
Thank god the Leclerc, Russell, Norris generation came along or we'd be looking at a very talent starved grid.
Kobayashi absolutely was worth his seat, his problem was that he never had the luck to find an open slot for his skill level. Closest he got was 2012 Sauber which was a good car but not near the real good ones. It's insane how we had a period in F1 from 2008 - 2017 where almost every single rookie who joined the sport never amounted to shit. Same with Glock. Had he not had his major accident in 2009, he'd have been hot property the following season. Instead he ended up in the last of the reject teams.Kobayashi absolutely was worth his seat, his problem was that he never had the luck to find an open slot for his skill level. I disliked Alonso for the simple reason he denied Kimi his first WDC and Schumi his 8th. Then he earned my admiration once he moved to Ferrari and put up one hell of a fight in the inferior cars he was given. Remember, he's less than 10 points from being a 5-time champion for a very good reason.Late due to troons, but I must say I use to seriously dislike Alonso. He was good, but his attitude put me off and I used to think he wasn't worth putting up with. Now I think the exact opposite, I think he's grown to be my favorite driver the past couple of years, and the 2022 US GP just made doubly sure in my mind that he is definitely one of the best drivers in F1 ever, and the most underrated if you go by his record alone. That crash, his shaken radio confession that it was a very late move (it was definitely Stroll's fault but at that moment Alonso felt it was his mistake and owned up to it), nursing the limping car back to the pit and then pushing hard again up to 7th when he was clearly scared by the accident (never heard him so subdued on the radio). I know this is brought up a lot, but he's 41 years old!
I don't like to talk up drivers too much. I really like Norris and hope he wins a lot with McLaren, but I don't like to go beyond "he did a great job" even if he does something extraordinary. Alonso is turning out to be the exception, I do like to point out his outstanding moments from the last 2 years. And this is coming from someone who very much hopes McLaren beats Alpine in the WCC.
Yeah, and that's what I mean about his record. Just briefly looking at it as any other it severely understates how good he is.I disliked Alonso for the simple reason he denied Kimi his first WDC and Schumi his 8th. As long as the checks dont bounce the FIA wont do anything. The drivers tho idk maybeBrazil is going to shit(er) fast following the election. Wonder if/how that will impact the grand prix.
