Please can we have interval data, gap to leader is all well and good but it doesn't tell me what's happening in individual fights.

The stewards really decided Ricciardo shouldn't have been there (I mean he shouldn't) with a 10 seconder.

At least something happened this race.

Don't you dare throw a full SC.

And here comes the crying.

> "He'll totally drop off at the end, no way he keeps the 10 seconds gap"
> Finishes 15 seconds ahead.

Well, I hoped Checo could win this or at least 1-2, but at least he got the podium.

Also, lol @ the merc drivers crying about their wheels. I can just imagine it:

Lewis: hey, George, welcome to Merc, what do we do in this team?
George: Uh... cry about tyres?
Lewis: I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship.

Well, the race was a snoozer though.

Not bad, not great. Lewis not complaining about his tires didn't last long.

I wonder if there's going to be fun with Max snubbing Sky currently.

Welcome back, frens

Honestly, worse race of the season. Maybe even the worst race (That was actually a race) of the past few years. DR got a well deserved DOTD for being the only driver to actually do anything, probably being lucky enough to use some, in all honesty, amazingly durable softs and his ridiculous move on Yuki. Honestly, I applaud the man for actually giving us something exciting during that whole race.

Is there really anything else to be said? It doesn't feel like there was much of a fight anywhere on the field, from a completely anonymous Ferrari attempting to preserve their engines, down to a Latifi who was so far behind the rest of the field that Fernando Alonso had actually got out of his retired car, left the track, and hopped on the back of a Harley before he ended up even close to an 'overtake.'

Mariachi music probably saved it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping for it to be over after the first twenty or so laps. Then again, I always fall for the Mexico GP hype when, to my knowledge at least, it's never really produced any races that have really excited me all that much. Maybe I just like how Monaco-Meets-Monza looks.

Ricciardo made some nice and also stupid moves. When Hamilton came out on hards I was like "Is that a good idea?" as the Hards have so far proven to be slow. Merc thought their Austin strategy would work this time and just as in austin they were rolled over by Verstappen. I hope Ferrari comes back in Brazil. Though they might also have decided to simply say "Fuck this shit" and concentrate on 2023.

Toto's incessant bitching ended up crippling the Ferraris. They have been the third-fastest car since Belgium. They've definitely been focusing on next year's car for the last 3 - 4 races, at least if they have a semblance of intelligence between them.

Yeah, it wasn't that great. Good Max got 14 I guess.

Then I watched the rest of the Cup race and that made up for it.

I know Max has the best car, but it is amazing how fucking consistent he and Redbull have become.

Max has even scored more points than Lewis ever managed in a year and there are still 2 races left.

With Max entering his peak, it will be interesting to see what he manages to do over the next 8 or more years.

It's real lulzy when the merc guys were basically going:

"oh man, those mediums sure look fast... would be real nice if I was on one of those."
"STAY OUT STAY OUT WERE GOING LONG. They'll wear out eventually."

They didn't really wear out.

Also the F1 theme Mariachi version is a thing of beauty. If they're gonna host races in the desert, they might as well get one of those middle east sounding tunes like this was the Balkans in the 90s.

Talking of consistency Max's lap times from the GP, aside from the VSC laps (for obvious reasons) every single lap Max did on mediums was a 1.22.

Shows red bull always intended to go to the end on that tyre and didn't have to respond to merc by extending otherwise his laps before hambone pitted would have been quicker.

The commentators got really annoying with the "he's going to have to go to managing the pace sooner or later", like he obviously is managing the gap to hambone.

I was excited when Mexico City was announced to be coming back in 2015, right until I realized that meant Tilke would get to ''upgrade'' yet another classic track. I can just imagine the little faggot COOMING as he paved over the godly Peraltada corner.
