I like McLaren but spending a season pulling a Haas and working on next year might break them.
Maybe, but it feels like make or break for them here. Even when Ferrari went downhill a couple of years ago, they at least reliably filled out the midfield.
IIRC, McLaren had porpoising-issues and resolved them quickly... and now I wonder if their porpoising was quickly dealt with cause ther overall downforce was just that terrible. Without propper downforce, you can only go slowly through corners, you need to brake earlier and accelerate later. It's a shit situation and I hope they'll deal with it. Both their drivers are absolutely amazing and it breaks my heart to see them struggle this much. Ricciardo is the kind of driver that should have won a title and Norris is the kind of driver that should win a title.
They had the somewhat hidden benefit that they primarily suffered cause their illegal fuel-pump got exposed. It's one thing to have an illegal component be strapped from your car and it suddenly being a midfield obstacle, it's an entirely different matter when you just end up making a painfully slow car.

Same. Fortnightly races with the occasional double header feels a good pace. Double headers with the occasional triple is getting to the point I can't watch every race live.

Don't get me wrong I'd be as thrilled as everyone else if we got Rich Energy Racing, the memes would be great but it's not something that could go on for more than a couple of seasons before the whole thing is a joke.
24 should be the absolute max and if reason needs to be cited, it would be logistics of it would be absolutely exhausting and would be incredibly expensive, especially with the fuel prices increasing and the jet lag involved is hell for everyone. It also would devalue the importance of the remaining races, especially if the championship ends up being decided before the final race. 24 also is a nice number to land on because there's only 52 weeks in a year and even F1 drivers need vacations.

Agreed. Even 22-23 is pushing it. 30 is absolutely ridiculous, especially considering most of these new races will probably be in the USA. F1 isn't IndyCar or NASCAR, and many of F1's new American converts will probably stop following F1 once Hambone leaves the sport.
Cause nothing says "glory and splendor appropriate to F1" like driving around the parking lot of a Casino.

This is correct but remember that because there is the break between when the f1 season ends and starts up next year, and there's summer break also, that takes a lot of weeks away from that 52 so the ratio of race weekends in a 24 race calendar would raise above 50%
