The TD basically destroyed Ferrari's performance overnight. They went from having the clear best car, to still the best car pre-summer break but with Max to ruin the fun, to 3rd best car by the end of the season.Ferrari's issues began with the summer break. I read in motorsport magazins that Ferrari had an ingenious floor solution that while making the car bounce also gave the car the bite to take corners. The FIA
's demanded changes after summer to keep bouncing to a minimum apparently hurt Ferrari the most as now they suddenly developed tyre wear where they had none before.
Funny thing about Mercedes is that Shovlin their lead engineer said a few weeks ago that they will develop a new concept for 2023. Imagine that: you have a concept that now seems to work and then you begin basically from scratch. Though that might also be because of the changes the FIA brings for 2023.
Anyway glad that Russell won this he might be the one to push Hamilton into retirement. And who would have guessed that after the 1.st SC Leclerc would get on par with Perez. At least Ferrari's stops this time were really good unlike Merc who seem to work under "safe but slow"
Also, these SCs are getting fucking stupid. Removing one broken down, fully intact car off the racing line should not have taken anywhere near 6 laps. In the '90s, you might have got local yellows preventing overtaking, but that's it.
Yep, a perfect summation of McLaren's race yesterday... C'mon guys, get your shit together. 4th in the championship is lost to Alpine. I felt for Norris when he was just sitting despondent on the barrier, struggling with food poisoning for nothing.Great photo of the RIC-MAG collision:

If it was for a podium it'd be a different matter, but causing such a PR shitstorm for a garbage position, especially when you've already won the championship is just so incredibly short sighted.just hold your tongue and save it for the internal debrief. And for P6?
I think it's because they're so young. They get hoisted through the ranks with little competition, it's no surprise they might crack when they actually have to work for it.But like others I'm growing tired of the behavior of some of these young drivers.
I know people like Danny Ric, but the guy has lost it. He still shows the occasional bit of great driving, but he makes too many mistakes and is overall off the pace.
Happy for Russel, I half expected Merc to fuck him over for Blowis, but in the end they did the right thing. Must've been Toto's absence.
