People in the chat probably have seen me talking about this since before Season 3 began but I've long held the suspicion that Fishtank isn't growing in audience size and may actually be retracting. The major issue is getting data to prove this suspicion, all of the public API that you could use to determine this have been closed off, the one I truly want is Twitter so I could explore the hashtag activity. The only publicly available option I have now is 4chan and doing it via its activity tracker offsite 4stats. 4chan has been in decline for a number of years now so I had to normalize the data to make even comparisons for each season.
With the data normalized so each season is competing against eachother on a level playing field we see a few spikes like Simmons getting ejected or Brandon's shitshow but for the most part Season 2 is a tighter, higher cluster on average than either season.
When in descending sort for the total average gain over the regular /tv/ baseline it also shows that Season 2 is the most successful season on average, Season 3 bombing out so fucking hard that Bloodgames and Bitchtank were beating it multiple times.

I haven't seen anyone mention this, but Sam said in PGL (101 I believe), that on the tail end of S3 he was taking finasteride for hair loss, which was giving him insane fatigue and brain fog, might explain a few things going on there

Day 2 Confessional Summary
It’s more like an interview really. Someone called Mack was the one doing the interview, part of the production team. First one is Mara. She said her biggest enemy is Mary Jane and Midori. She was then told by Mack to be a scribe and write the other contestant confession. Ethan then told to go into the confessional room but I didn't pay attention to him because he was boring. Next up is Archelle, She said she didn’t like Mary Jane because she acts like a whore. Kevin said that he's good with everyone but the black chick always gave him dirty looks when he was laughing. He also didn’t know her name. Carl's confessional was interrupted by a couple of TTS hyping up. He was kinda boring but at least he called Ethan out for being nontent so I give him point for that. Augustine can’t stop spinning and fidgeting during the confession. Said Colton looked like DSP, friends with Mary and Kevin, didn’t like Mara but is kinda chill with her now, didn’t come to win. Midori have a YouTube channel called undergroundteaparty where she posts her music. She said that she like the challenges because it focuses on Jesus (lol), didn’t really know what the show was, and have intention to win. Syd mocked Mack for using a ski mask. Act a little bit tense in the interview. Likes everyone and doesn’t really have a problem with them, but hates Mary Jane because of her many meltdowns and constant ramble.
In the middle of nowhere, Jon enters the room and got interviewed by Mack cause he’s a wetawd and forgot that he was supposed to be the host. He likes Carl, Kevin, and Ethan especially because he’s the biggest dude in there (hmm interesting…). He’s struggle to remember Mary’s name, didn’t like her because she’s a whore, and suggest that they give the black chick more screentime. He also said that Jet scared of the fact that his show is competing with fishtank and try to prevent everyone from the FT circle to come to the show or support him, but willing to forgive him If Jet apologizes (lol). Said some special guest will come this week. He also said that he knows a gay black dude that willing to come to ADL (lol).
After Jon done crashing out, Maryjane enters the room. She expresses her annoyance to Jon because he can't stop yelling at her. She feels that no one in the house disliked her and she feels alright with everyone. She also admits that she create the love triangle thing between Kevin and Augustine to create drama. Jon burst in into the middle of the confession and told both Mary and Mack to drink milk as a prove that they’re not gay.
Mack makes a snide remark about how the production handle fishtank and the fishes that uses the “production made me do it” excuse throughout the confession. After the last confession was done Jon came back and try to gather all the dudes to run an intervention on Augustine because he catches feeling for Mary Jane. NO STRAWWIGHT AWOWED!!!

guy from production (brian?) apparently had his wallet stolen, and says he can't trust these people around his equipment. he's leaving and taking all his gear with him (all the cams). dunno if this is a bit or not, he seems genuinely pissed.

all contestants ordered to gather in the living room. instructed to split into teams and scour both floors of the house (didn't even know there was an upstairs) for the wallet, and to go through everyone's personal belongings. edit: midori protested, and now each team has a production member because she said she's not comfortable with other contestants going through her stuff. jon says he's demanding every production member's things be gone through too.
