On a scale with Friendtank and Hellhouse at the extremes I think they went slightly too far into Hellhouse for 2.5 as a bit of a crutch. It wasn't too far but I would have really liked to have seen more of the Friendtank personally.

To me it just felt like there was a total lack of humanity in it. It felt like Fishtank run by A-Logs. Like you see these people in chat all the time who willingly misinterpret what the fish say and hate them no matter what they do and that was the vibe coming up from the basement. You could tell based on how Jet talked about Jimmy towards the end of S2 when he was gone and how he treated him during 2.5 that Jimmy was one of Jet's favorites but the feeling you got during S2 was that production not only hated him but resented him for being a fan.
The perfect balance to me is that the knives should come out when someone is trying to barricade themselves in a room or teasing quitting for hours or is being a massive hypocrite. This vibe of just, everything about you is a fucking problem and we're going to take the most unforgiving interpretation of everything you do is what makes it feel satanic.

Jon was not supposed to use his phone but did, it was sewn into his jacket. Jet was sorting through Jon's stuff from the lockbox in a locked room and felt the hard object in Jon's jacket to find the burner and shouted "I FUCKING KNEW IT". Nobody else broke the no phone rule.

Jon taking a note from damnial in season 1 and just bringing a phone in. As funny as he was he shouldn't be brought back after this as anything but a surprise guest. Also great recap.

So far Letty and Tayleigh are more or less the only two returning to the tank who are still under the "returning curse": so far everyone who has returned to the tank after being eliminated has looked like an asshole because they overcorrect once they have read all the criticism about them online or overreact to the things they find out.

Looking back on this, I guess Letty did get a bit cocky and lazed around instead of doing quests, and Tay wound up her craziest fan way too much between seasons. Spencer said that he didn't watch S1 and S2 other than a few clips so maybe he wouldn't have gone so hard in the paint with the Xayleigh arc if it weren't for that.

Yes, its not really worth watching live. During the actual seasons you're invested in the contestants to win because the Cell usually has a very high payout. This is just assholes sitting around talking.
