With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

  • 2 Stars — Pretty bad. Some funny moments, dragged, too many vibe repair days. Barely worth checking.

There is some sort of grand prize for whoever has the longest total time and I think some people like Letty and Scott have the leeway to come and go. Zoltar and Spencer are randoms. Letty and Scott seem to have some leeway. Not sure if Nifty has any leeway.
 
From what Sodaman and Taylor have talked about, it seems like there were a ton of quests that just never got done because the fish couldn’t be bothered to do them. They really need to figure out a way to tard wrangle the fish to make them do quests. Even when they did try to do them, they would usually end up either failing or very poorly.

Season 2.5 was a weird one where they learned a lot (I hope). Considering most of the quests took whale amounts of money to fund, offering even 1 fishbuck to the person who does it would be fine. Having all the fish locked inside a house again will make things much easier, also bring back fishbucks. Even implying that leaving will have all your fishbucks nullified should be enough to keep the season 3 contestants from just walking the moment shit gets tough.

They need prizes---ones that the fish want. For instance, put them on a vegetarian diet for a week, then offer them a prize of a steak or a hamburger. Half hour of phone privileges. A night in a safe room, protected from the other fish and with a clean, comfortable bed. A couple penalty-free hours outside the Tank, they could take the winner to see a movie or out for dinner. An hour of playing Xbox.

They offer the fish money now, but since they're notoriously bad about actually paying the promised amount at the end, the fish aren't willing to really fight for it. But an afternoon out, in the middle if the season? They'd probably kill for it.

Other people have suggested this, but I think they should have some kind of stipend for staying on the show without quitting. Not sure what the exact amount should be, but it should be something like $50 a day that gets revoked if you quit the show.

I will personally be pretending that I never saw this like the New Yorkers who saw Spider Man’s face on the train. Nifty is too important of a symbol for the illusion to be ruined. :semperfidelis:
