It will create a lot of humorous situations and TTS would be great. It's not like Sam is going to tone anything down to avoid offending a troon. I think S2 will be pretty sterile and Jet will try doing too much while simultaneously accomplishing very little. Maybe I'm in the minority but I think the show would play out better with less Shark intervention and more high stress competitions with higher stakes. Let the Fish cause the drama. It's a lot more authentic that way. It should be at least slightly more fair.

It's still going to be a success though and they'll make plenty of money with it. S1 was so close to a disastrous ending multiple times. Hopefully they find a format that works and stick with it. Sometimes simplicity is better.

Season One fish really weren't very interesting. Pretty much mostly boring and if it weren't for the freeloaders I don't think there would have been much drama at all.

Anything mean I ever said about Sylvia, I take back.
I'm not sure when Sylvia decided what this second stream would be, but within an hour or so it took shape. It's Fishtank again, but Jon is the only contestant. A flood of negative TTSes have come in to Jon because of the Letty thing and Sylvia has orchestrated and facilitated the abuse. The stream goal is to kiss the hispanic orbiter, it was reached, and he refused to do it, so now everyone is calling him gay.

Every time he leaves the room she admits to playing him, whenever he can't see her face she mugs the camera. She constantly sneaks up to read the chat and affirms negative comments by calling out the name without reading what it says. And then whenever she has Jon's attention she's his best friend again to make him not ragequit out.
At one point she snuck up next to him and swiped eyeliner at him saying she was going to "Sylviafie" him. She has also somewhat hinted that she won't be splitting the $800 they have made, this time strictly on abusive TTSes and not big Jet whales.

He tried to force everyone to watch his shitty podcast episode with Colton Groves because being on the stream was hurting his SEO, and blew up when everyone said to turn it off. They had Betty on and she called Colton a pedophile and quit out and Jon was furious.

I don't think the content of the show is advancing culture but the project is "advancing" culture in a few different ways, whether you like Jet or not. For one thing it's streaming on its own platform, without any sponsors or ad revenue and it's actually making money. That wouldn't have been a major accomplishment ten years ago but it is in 2023 when you either play by YouTubes TOS or you don't get to play at all. For whatever reason every single content creator has complied with YouTube guidelines and the entirety of the internet has grown stagnant and safe because of it. Anyone willing to take a big financial risk to create content outside of the echo chamber is doing a good job. That's obviously Sam's doing and not Jet's but still.

They're also trying clans and achievements for season 2 pass holders which is something that hasn't been done before. You can go on fishtank.live right now and people are already spending tokens and having clan battles two months before the show even starts. They're spending money on a show that isn't even on.

Redbars literally been doing this for a decade it's not challenging or new, most people are just too lazy to do the work. No one is going to copy fishtank or start streaming on other platforms because it's a ton of fucking work and there are a ton of new issues to deal with but it's always been a viable option most people are just too lazy. Infowars, gas digital and a bunch of other ones do it as well.
Also video streaming is very expensive and using youtube or some other free streaming thing means you can make much more profit. People are choosing the extra money at the loss of the quality of their content. That's it they are just doing it for like marginally more money, they know what the alternatives are but are CHOOSING to have worse content and slightly more money. Frankly most of them or boring/sheeple enough to also not need another platform there aren't actually that many edgelords. It's not that the internet has grown stagnant and safe it's that people in general have. If fishtank tries pushing the profits to expand and get more stuff there maybe but just what they are doing isn't doing anything new. I'll grant the combo of what their doing and the amount of money they are making is newer but it's always been possible for people who had the idea/effort/funding to actually do it.

Going off of what we’ve seen so far with the newly released episodes, the marketing techniques Jet uses, and just the general attitude Jet displays on Twitter to any criticism, I’m a bit worried for the fate of season 2. It’s clear that Jet got a larger ego from the success of season one without realizing a lot of the things he did had a negative effect on the show. Maybe he does realize it, but his ego is too big to let him admit that.

It’s been said a million times already, but the only successful things we can assume Jet and the wiggers pulled off during the show (and that’s a big assumption since Sam was involved in both of these instances) was the fake ending and the Willy Wonka true ending. I will list some of their failures at the end of this post.

The only hope that I have besides dumb luck in the success of season 2 is that Sam will be more involved during said season. He wasn't involved during season 1 because of WP2, and there were quite a few times where Sam returned after a few days and seemed annoyed at how the state of things were going. Best case scenario is he keeps a hold on things creatively and ideas have to be ran through him before being used.

Spoiler: From the Brilliant Mind of Jet Neptune

• Failure to test fishtoys weeks in advance. Lead to the "hot in here" and "cold in here" fishtoys being thrown out days after the show began.
• Failure to prevent doxing by not covering up pizza boxes when ordering local food for the fish.
• Allowed multiple internet celebrities on the show for no apparent rhyme or reason.
• Had no actual realized plans for the plant (Damiel). It seemed like the only content Damiel made was from his xanied out brain.
• Invited Damiel back onto the show with no clear plan as to what he would do when back on.
• Failed to double check the cost of hosting a livestreaming service 24/7. Wasted $30000 dollars in three days as a result. (Any competent producer would be checking finances at least daily. Jet had literal months in advance to see the costs of hosting such a project.)
• Very little background check on any of the fish. We can assume this as it seems the Simmons scare came as a surprise to Jet and Sam.
• Forced interactions and jokes to the point of ruining them. (Jon x Letty, Vance crippled joke)
• Failure to enforce equal amounts of torture upon all fish which lead to dogpiling of some fish and babying of others.
• Couldn't control TTS a whole month into the show. Sam would be giving Goldstriker dialogue only for TTS to interrupt him. Jet could not find a way to turn off TTS during pivotal moments.
• Punished fish for making content. Letty and Vance were punished for kidnapping Jon and Simmons' baby. Jon was kicked out of the first cage challenge for kicking a hole in the wall.
• Made many people side with Idubbbz due to airsoft Fatty being exposed as an annoying disgusting faggot on the show.
• Failure to capitalize on good ideas. The imposter challenge was forgotten about despite it being an interesting concept. The Entity idea was never really expanded upon until like 20 days after the first cage challenge. Josie was the only one who could receive plushies. The crippled challenge was amazing and could have been a good theme for a week until elimination, it only lasted for give or take 3 days.
• Inconsistent with enforced TTS rules. Sometimes you couldn't reveal what fish were scheming about, other times you could.
• This is a bit of a double dip, but holy fuck was TTS bad. I mean, how hard is it to set up a schedule for TTS so people don't have to listen to those stupid sound clips or JJJJJJ 24/7? How hard is it to realize that scheming is going down, so maybe, just maybe, you should turn off TTS for the next 15 minutes. You can literally update the banner on the site to let everyone know. Who cares about betrayal and drama when you can make a few extra shekels though right?
• Leaked the email addresses of many people who bought passes to his show. Confused cc with bcc.
• Couldn't explain the premise of the show in the first two episodes of his "documentary."
• Allowed biases to get in the way of content/content potential. (Made Fatty put clothes on because Josie got sad. Allowed Hassle to chill with Vance and Josie, making us miss out on seeing how Vance and Josie would react from being put in an uncomfortable situation.)
• Repeated challenges and guests. There's nothing wrong with repeating if you have a good reason to, but these things were seemingly repeated due to lack of ideas and nostalgia points. Most of these repeats didn't hit nearly as hard as the originals. (Cage 1 and 2. Cooking challenge 1 and 2. Hyde and Seek 1 and 2. Lance, Jon, Mauro, Damiel, Hassle,
• Allowed for a massive content vacuum after Jon left basically showing he had no back up plan and was relying solely on Jon for providing entertainment.
• Lack of communication with season pass holders outside of twitter.
