Well to be quite honest, as hated as he is here. Damiel wasn't really a failure. If he enticed people to pay for hate messages against him, that's a win. If he drove up viewer numbers (which he did if I recall correctly), that's a win. If he drove up shirt sales, then that's a win.

I've caught on to the fact that it's less about the quality of the show and more about what get's people riled up to spend money. Reactions are profits after all! Express your feelings and outrage! We'll let your voice be heard!....for a price

But yeah it would be nice if they didn't need one. If they have to have one, they should be smarter about the kind of tension they create, so like you said they don't create a death march against the one person who feeds off of righteous anger. Pick on quiet boring people, like Mauro, not loud Jon-types just because they're nails to be hammered down.

I really hate to doom post but Jet's sense of humor is either too much like that of a frat boy or he does not take enough pride in his work to the point that he could commit to thinking that far ahead and make it happen.

This project is an example of somebody succeeding despite being incompetent. He has no idea what made the show interesting, if the way they've edited the episodes is any indication. In spite of his multiple failings they were able to make a profit, which is most likely because Sam Hyde was associated with the project. This thread lives rent free in his head, I'm sure he checks in here and there to get feedback. Same with 4chan and Reddit. As during the show, this is the only place I've seen with actual constructive criticism, even if it is a bit autistic at times it comes from a good place of wanting the show to do well. Most of the feedback I've seen on episode 2 has been "it's worse than episode 1" and I'm sure that pisses Jet off. Everyone just doesn't "get it" and the gay little art he's trying to do to... advance culture?

Put Damiel back in the Nutshack. With how much Jet and the wigger crew popped in, they shouldn't need a plant.

My favorite liability moment was when Jon and Letty were in some kind of blanket fort and a shark (or maybe Jet himself idr) immediately intervened, pulled Letty aside, asked if he touched her foot and if she was ok or uncomfortable. At the time I thought that was intense but nice, then everything else happened after like they just completely gave up or assumed the fish wouldn't sue over anything.

Overall I would actually recommend watching this one, definitely skip the Staggs interview but the rest is pretty great.

• Jon was surprisingly withdrawn at first, I think Sylvia was ready to riff but Jon seemed sort of nervous so it was good that Sylvia was there because she seemed to ease his stage fight a bit. He got way more into it once they finished doing interviews.
• Sylvia tried to light Alex's wife's boyfriend's nipples on fire with a kitchen lighter.
• Sylvia claimed to have done a 23 and me which revealed she is "mostly Jewish," and Jon turned to her and said "That's kind of fucked."

They're watching the second episode now and got to the Damiel threatening Sylvia part. Sylvia's jaw actually dropped, said "what?!" then she stood up and said "Bro, I'd like to see you try, bro."
Jon starts seething during Letty's speech, saying "she's actually such an asshole. She should be locked up."
When Mauro's speech gets skipped Jon clapped and Sylvia jumped up and played it back again two more times.
When the episode ended they all went "is that it?! 22 minutes?"
Sylvia didn't notice she was the first to call out that Damiel is the plant.
Jon says he will get "dumb sluts" tomorrow for his stream. He says they will be "dumber than Letty." So I guess he has lapsed again, completely.

I'm pretty surprised that Sylvia seems to be doing the best in helping with streams from hosting to getting Jon wrangled. She was obnoxious on the show but recently seems to be producing really good streams and content with the other fish
