Elliot Page / Ellen Page - Former actress, starred in Juno. Turned into a pooner and divorced her wife because being a lesbian was not boosting her career anymore. Receives a daily dose of asspatting from Hollywood. Likes to show off her "male" body using fake abdominals.

Ellen had basically no tits and no hips, so “hot” doesn’t apply.

Her face was very beautiful before the attempted manscaping.
She's definitely a "Girl Next Door" type of cute, not "Mature Femme Fatale". Or well, she was, prior to morphing into the Green Goblin.

Edit: We should stop going in circles about how hot/cute she used to be though and instead discuss the likelihood of her being autistic. Or post more ghoulish pics of her because those are funny.

These troon types must love Kiwi Farms too much, because they sacrifice most of everything in their life in exchange for nothing good but a Kiwi Farms thread. Now that's a true and honest fan. Null should Venmo her ten bucks.

Ellen had a pretty face that fit the type of role she was already typecast for: young assertive know-it-all too-smart-for-her-age young woman. This role is tolerable when the woman is cute.

She was this in Hard Candy, Juno, Roller Blade Girls, and Inception. She was kinda hinted to be like this in X-men, because her character (Kitty) was like this in the comics, so she fit the role well.

Even if she hasn't trooned up, her career was heading to a halt unless she could shake that out of her.

What revisionist history is this? She trooned out because she was rapidly losing her looks (and hair) due to her eating disorder catching up with her (by the first season of Umbrella Academy, she was already looking like Linda Hamilton in Captain Howdy makeup); and specifically didn't want to live out the rest of her life as an aged actress. Her intent was to murder the Ellen persona and use her money to fund the fantasy that she's a teenage boy who smashes box.
Come on, she didn't look bad in that first picture you posted. She didn't look as good as she looked in her, say, early 20's but no women in her mid 30 looks as good as she looked at her early 20's. That's life for you. She still had a pretty face and could age well enough if she didn't poon out.

It's more her personality that was the problem, imo. As someone else said, the type of characters she played were good for a young, pretty woman. As an older woman, you can find roles that fit your age but you need to convay other qualities, like wisdom, warmth, I don't know, things that comes with age. She has none of these and can't fake it. She should have just said goodbye to her career and fade into the background, find things that make her happy and fulfilled. Instead she pooned out. It's sad, and if she wasn't pushing this gender ideology so much and advocate for thr transition of minors, I probably would have left her alone.

>check thread since last time

The only reason I know she's not dead is because it wasn't featured.
You guys are crazy, she was extremely hot back in the day.

She was cute, not hot. Kat Dennings is hot. 2000s Megan Fox was fox. Ellen Page always looked like the mousey girl you'd kiss under the bleachers. That face screams "had an 8 p.m. curfew at 16".
I recommend the book "self made man" by Norah Vincent, autobiography of a lesbian who disguised herself as a man for a year.
The biggest flaw of that book is that is it that the life of a man is hard or that the life of a woman (who wasn't socialized male) pretending to be a man is hard.

Yep. There are undoubtedly some things about being a man that completely blow. But to walk among them while still being vulnerable in uniquely female ways (smaller, weaker, risk of pregnancy) - that's just the worst of both worlds.

I read that book a few years ago, and to me it's the latter. I remember it being much less informative about the male experience, rather than the state of mind of pooners, and why it's impossible for them to find happiness no matter which gender they chose to pursue. Thus why I never understood why it was brought up as evidence men have it harder than women.

It's not a book about living as a man. Most of the guys the author was around figured out quickly she was a butch woman, even if they didn't exclude her. The author wasn't depressed about living as a man as it's often claimed, but because she was realizing she would never fit in with the boys, or even pass as a believable one for the straight women she was longing for.

Most of the complaints she had about the masculine way of life, like not showing vulnerability with the homies or the constant objectification, would be considered emasculating for men. That's just how it is. I've yet to find a (straight, well adjusted) man who doesn't thrive in masculinity, and would trade it away to become a woman. Because despite the issues that come with it, (straight, well adjusted) men still have a place of belonging, and peers they can relate to. Norah wasn't depressed because manhood is hard, she was depressed because she couldn't fit in it : she still felt the need to open up to her friends like she would a therapist, and was disgusted by men being constantly horny and irreverent during hangouts.

People like Ellen or Norah are usually women who never found this feeling of belonging, ever since they were young. Either because they were not gender conforming, attracted to women or autistic, and female socialization is extremely unforgiving to anyone who doesn't fit the mold. They see masculinity as an escape from this, and that's why they turn to transition. Maybe they don't fit in because they're actually men deep down ! Except it's not the problem, and when they realize they don't fit in either with them, they spiral.

Despite this fairly succesful career, Ellen desired more fame and attention and would do anything to stay relevant. Now in today's modern Globohomo world, an easy way to get attention and special treatment is to be a part of an "opressed" minority group like the LGBT community. It didn't take long for Ellen to hop on the LGBT bandwagon when she decided to come out as a lesbian in 2014 and enjoy the prestige of being an LGBT icon.
I'm curious. Why do you think her troonification and lesbian identity was grasping at relevance rather than hollywood sex abuse stuff?

I've always been skeptical of the pooners being sexually abused narrative. It's true in some cases, especially for children, but I don't think it's true in general.

However, even if I were inclined to believe it, I haven't seen any evidence that this is the case for Ellen. I don't believe that she faced as much sexual abuse as she implies, what I've read of her memoir shows that she greatly exaggerates the hardships that she faced (the stuff with her stepmother was laughable), but let's just assume that she really did.

What would you expect someone phoning out to avoid sexual attention to do? Would it include multiple photoshoots focusing on her bare torso? If she was really put off by people looking at her sexually... well guess what? She was past the worst of it, she was at the right age to start transitioning to a respectable actor, but instead she decided to do something new to draw attention to her sexuality.

So no, I don't buy that it was because of sexual abuse she suffered in Hollywood. Not on any level.

Also didn't she like last year or something have a picture of herself wearing bondage gear (literally wtf)? If she had such sexual trauma that she pooned out, she wouldn't be showing off her ab-implants and the like so readily with her "new body". I don't care if some therapist is claiming that "reclaiming xirself" is part of the healing process, I honestly call bullshit over things like that.

I do believe she may have been groomed, it's just that when you later realize you've been groomed, you don't double/triple-down on anything sexual if you're serious about getting help.

In Hollywood, something like 1 in 20 actresses age well enough to not be out of work by age 40.

Thus why I never understood why it was brought up as evidence men have it harder than women.
It explodes the myth that being a man is what a woman would imagine an orgy of power and privilege is actually like, and that for most men, life is just a grind. If you have a man's brain, hey, the grind ain't so bad, really. We were born to grind. But if you have a woman's brain? It's hell on earth.

The whole "shirtless dude grilling out" photo pooners love to do screams autoandrophilia.

Nobody's gonna ask a man to play a woman

There have been cases when men have played women and women have played men in mainstream films and theatre in a manner that wasn't comedic or took from the film.

These cases are, however, extremely rare and very risky for all parts involved.

That said, Cillian Murphy as Margaret Thatcher or Christian Bale as Imelda Marcos would be... a choice.

Not every sexual assault is a violent rape or grooming. Hollywood industry is very invasive about people's bodies and actors are expected to drop their clothes for a role. And in some cases, to get such roles. Also, being constantly ogled by old guys making comment about how adequate or not is your body can really fuck up your identity and how you perceive yourself.

Maybe this shouldn't be called "sexual assault", but it's not common nor is healthy. If your boss, in any normal workplace, makes comments about your body, they can get reprimanded or fired. In Hollywood, this is part of the job.

So, Ellen being an autistic kid who was exposed to this environment since she was too young, wasn't the best for her. It destroyed her self perception. On top of that, the comments about her physics were about her remaining a child for her roles. She is a moron with stupid ideas about the world, but a lot of what she's become today, a pooner, it's because she was pushed into it by an industry she refuses to leave or denounce.

Why is being trans ok for Buck but not for her daughter?

Thank you.

Buck’s stance against the current trans craze is 100% because a woman with male pattern baldness is no longer special.

At one point Buck was a mind bending freak of nature, now they’re just another aging pooner. A dime a dozen on Reddit.

This is also why Caitlyn Jenner has come out against trans ideology, despite propagating it and benefitting from it. Being an elderly father who is utterly enthralled by himself when he squeezes his grandpa body into a bustier is no longer special, and Caitlyn wanted to be special, dammit! If all the men start filming themselves using the lady's room in Trump Tower, then it won't be brave and stunning anymore! There's not enough talk shows for all of us!
During her porn career, Buck billed herself as "the man with a pussy", and it was considered "gonzo". Now, there's a ton of "men" with "pussies", and Uncle Buck can no longer be the special only one.
It makes me wish Elliot, Malk or Milky or whatever her name was from RuPaul's drag race, and like 6 other tiny trans men would all appear together on a show.

Ah, the Pete Dinklage Syndrome
