It is ironic that he bases his personality on his sexuality, but can't handle the repercussions of doing so. There was an incident a while ago in which he told people on Twitter to, 'not draw nsfw material of his oc'.

You don't have to take other people's words for it because the proof is staring at you right in the face: With how quickly and sporadically SonicFox jumps from game to game, it shouldn't come as a surprise that there's a reason for it. Most FGC pros tend to stay in their lane and only migrate if they see success. SonicFox indeed sees success, but tends to bail out just as soon as he finds it. Despite wining Dragon Ball FighterZ and people regarding him as the best at that game, he's immediately started to jump ship into Smash Ultimate, getting into the crotches of nearly every top Smash player to force himself into the limelight of that scene. Meanwhile, in what people would naturally assume would be the opposite position, Leffen jumped into Dragon Ball and, while not the star player SonicFox is, absolutely crushed it despite only playing Melee seriously for years. Despite this, Leffen still only jumps into games he feels he can be successful in WHILE still enjoying the game, hence why he didn't stick to Marvel 3 after his Melee ban. Leffen also retains his position as a top player, whereas SonicFox never sticks around long enough to see his skills wane.

None of this is to be said under the assumption that any random shmo player can beat him suddenly at any game, no. There's some skill in him to be sure, but taking advantage of a game's early meta in order to steal wins that other players weren't so keen on winning through the same ways is something someone who needs to compensate does. When that fails him, he defaults to the meta other better players have established and uses that as a point of pride. No one match exemplifies this more than when he had to switch off his main in Mortal Kombat X at EVO to the unquestionable top character just to seal the win, despite him having long tangents about how he hates the character. Sure, play to win, but you can see the cracks in him start to form the second he faces any real competition.
 
Sonic Fox is basically Sky Williams if Sky lacked all self awareness and was good enough to go pro in fighting games.

It's really sad because hes a damn good player to watch.
 
It's hard to get real heavy hitting stuff on this guy because his personality is 2d. He literally just is a black, furry, fgc autist.
Maybe if some pressure is exerted, he will sperg more.
 
Oh this guy, i heard about him in some of the EVO streams but he really rustled several players jimmies with his bragging about being the best e-sport player in the world in the games awards, now everyone want to kick him from his throne just to spite him

The guy steers away from the one game with the most varied winners in Evo... Street Fighter. That game and Mahvel really made up most of the top FGC. Mortal Kombat and Injustice were barely anything. Until that Perfect 13gend fiasco, most people didn't really know who this guy was, not compared to the Japanese competitors and OG Western FGC players.

The fact that he, in spite of being such a dominating player, has never really touched either of those games says something. SF and Mahvel can be pretty toxic, so no wonder companies are pushing this three time token player.

Fox went from that really good MK player with the funny blue hat into a full on cringe inducing woke furry.

As detailed in my earlier post, he has touched SF. He got top 8 in his first tournament, and then never saw much results after that. As for Marvel, if you count Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite as part of the series despite the massive dumpster fire it is, he played that and did very well. He wasn't the undisputed best or anything, but he won a few events as far as I can recall and was probably a top 5 player.

I don't think anyone counts that as part of the series. Apart from the war of the stones (or whatever it was called), I don't recall seeing MvCI appear in any big competition. I don't think Evo has it, in spite of Marvel being a staple for years.
 
I remember seeing this guy play Skullgirls and being pretty good at it.

Kind of a shame he, (like a large portion of the FGC) is exceptional and has a big ego over his status as a minority/sexual deviant.

Wow, I'm still surprised he got a thread . Can't say I'm unhappy with it though, he definitely has potential the more this goes on.

If it doesn't draw out, you can easily file him in as another result of an empowered political clique. The trender fags and reeeeeeeeevolutionary blacks/#woke crowd are attracted to him like flies on shit out of a very clear desperation to keep this hyper-politicized face on the fandom rolling. It was never about his skills as a gamer or even who he was as a person, more about what he represents as the fandom continues to devour itself.

It's why he's so off putting to anybody with half a brain stem. Either he's a useful idiot and doesn't know it, or he's entirely aware of his own bullshit and is content to continue drumming up controversy around himself out of his ego.

It actually deserves some respect. Theres a load of fighting game pros that are closeted furries and still massive faggots. Smash bros player Salem immediately comes to mind. Equally spergtastic on twitter too.

And in all honesty, no matter what he does, Sonicfox will still be remembered as a genius in the FGC community. Furfag or not, motherfucker made comebacks that almost rival evo moment 37
