It's very often people downplay these threads. A person with so much attention and so much pressure will always break at some point. People have been saying he's been deserving a thread for years. If his stupidity has almost half a decade of longevity, then there's no reason for it to stop or to not get worse.

Sonicfox is distinctly against criticism, self-improvement, and anybody outside of his bubble. It's all the ingredients that are needed for a trainwreck, and corporate meddling can do nothing more than slow an out-of-control train. I predict a steady drip-feed of content before the walls collapse and it all goes downhill. Or rather, more quickly downhill than it already is.

I don't see how a poster's behavior in the thread is reflective on the thread's necessity. At the very least, this thread is good for recording the individual the thread is focusing on. There are incredibly active and popular threads where the first post is nothing more than a few sentences.

It is quite obvious with the 3 points that I indicated, this thread will follow a "please respond" kind of path, sometimes the intention of an OP tells more about the thread than the subject of discussion itself, of course I can't predict the future and could be very wrong, but right now I don't see other way though.

When looking at the comment that started it all, the way SonicFox sounds is dorky and goofy, which would likely be normal for anyone getting an award. The manufactured outrage itself literally got pissed at a guy that sounded less of a dick and more of a dork when he won some video game award. If he truly does have any traits worthy of being a lol-cow, we all have to wait and see to cast judgment on it. Otherwise, he'll just be a dime-a-dozen furry whose only achievement that makes him slightly was the drama that came from his wrapped up words at a video game show.

Not to mention, the fact that OP signed up very recently with this thread being the start of it and most of his post being from this thread would give one a thought that this could end up being a bit like a personal army request.

SonicFox is a massive sperg, but like others have said, he's also signed to a major company and it's unlikely we'll see any massive content from him yet.

As someone who has been tuned in to the FGC for several years, he has been getting increasingly unhinged as the years have passed, and since his speech at the VGAs he's tweeted more nad more stupid stuff and the crowd has largely turned on him. He used to be popular because of how skilled he is (and this is unrefutable, anyone who tries to deny how good he is at fighting games is just plain wrong) but now people are largely meme'ing him about how stupid he is, and given his reluctance to accept criticism as anything but racism and homophobia it'll likely escalate from here.

It's possible the thread is a bit premature, but he's definitely a worthy subject.

Regarding his fighting game prowess, he was the undisputed best in Injustice, Mortal Kombat X and Skullgirls when he played them actively, he was possibly second best if not the very best in Injustice 2, and he's consistently been a top 3 player in Dead or Alive 5 (of which his brother, who playes under the handle MrKwiggle, is top 2. Kwiggle only plays Dead or Alive to my knowledge.) He's also one of the best in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Early on, Japanese pro Go1 dominated him, but SonicFox turned it around and won EVO 2018 and has had Go1's number since then. The World Tour finals for DBFZ will be happening later this month, so that'll probably be where SonicFox rises or falls, but he has a great track record in the game, regardless.

Outside of this, SonicFox was dominant early in Soul Calibur 6 but quickly fell off. He also tried his hand at Street Fighter 5 when it came out, since that's the game which is reportedly most competitive (debatable, but it's got the biggest pool of players outside of Smash and has a lot of Japanese OGs who play it). He never dominated in Street Fighter 5, although he did get top 8 at a stacked event with a fairly bad character. He kept playing it for about a year but had no notable results after that, though that can also be attributed to him focusing on other games.

He's also super insistent on talking about how oppressed he is and has been, but with how much money he's won from tournaments he's in a much better position than the vast majority of kids his age. I haven't followed him that closely outside of tournament results, but the fact that both him and his brother have been able to travel to tournaments and compete before having sponsors of any kind at a very young age makes it very difficult to imagine that he comes from a poor background of any kind. He's just using SJW talking points to whine about skin colour and sexuality despite all evidence pointing to him being at least middle class before he started making big bank.
 
I'm amused by how quickly he went from "yeah he's one of few okay furries" to "wow what an insufferable prick". Although he seems like an ok guy, he sure lets the worst of furry culture to influence him.

Look at the beginning pages of Sargon's thread, a lot of "he doesn't qualify as a lolcow", "I like his content", "this is not worthy of a thread"... and look how far that went into a tailspin. Trust me, this idiot is going to do some really stupid/cow worthy things, especially since he seems to be the "face" of pro gaming that video game companies want to push.
 
Sonicfox looks like a hairy refried bean and is annoying as all sin... But unfortunately I do have to take his side on the "I'm gay meme". As long as we live on a planet on which everybody has to tolerate millions upon millions of straight people with the same personality and same opinions, it is impossible for me to be upset at any generic fresh-gaybaby who hoots and hollers about RuPaul all day.

Perfect Legend was known at the time (not sure of now as he is a nobody now) for having a huge fucking ego and talkin shit.

Same thing seems to have happened to Fox. It should be noted that Fox has been pissing off people in the FGC and in other competitive games for talking insane amounts of shit. Yet for only ever playing NRS games and Skull girls. The latter of which is considered the Call of Duty of fighting games. Where it gets boiler plate sequels and is designed for a casual audience.

The former is pretty much a closed off game. In that its the same handful of people playing it and entering tournaments for it again and again so it just becomes the same names challenging with no no blood. So in that regard think of it with Melee and its 5 same winners. (This is in a nutshell so forgive me for condensing it.) That said he has good skill at Skull Girls.

I am sure other anon's can handle it, but he was legit worried he would get attacked for being black by random people in Daytona. Like he was full blown acting like he was gonna get lynched by a random street mob or something. I don't have shit of this, but I have no doubt someone else here prolly has the caps. On top of literally talking about how he has been oppressed his whole life n shit.

Also this is generic shit for this sub board. But like any other furry, he is big into porn and shit. He gotta stuff it everywhere like they all do.

Long story short. He has been involved in FGC drama for some time (a community which is already filled with drama queen faggotry, and lots of black wokeness), and he is only now going beyond that because of the game awards. But he is known for having an ego and starting shit all over. This is the community where unchecked ego growth led to birth people like LTG, and DSP. Now imagine what happens when you add furry shit to that mixture. I would argue now its lite, but give it time, guy like him is gonna only make more milk coming.
