The Twitter 'tisms aside I remember reading some stuff calling some of his championships into question; something about him calling for changing sides being very suspect or something. I don't know thing one about the FGC but maybe someone more knowledgeable can comment.

I find it shocking that other fighting game fans see it as some kind of masculine accomplishment in the first place. It's a goddam video game, after all. It's only natural that an obnoxious gay furry would pick it up as a hobby, he sure as hell ain't joining Toastmasters anytime soon.

The thing is, he would never not he's gay. There are plenty of normal, contributing members of society, that just so happen to be gay. People don't assume someone is straight. When you don't know someone's sexuality, they're essentially gay, straight, and bi all at the same time. It's schrodinger's cat.

It's a load of nothing, honestly. He asked for a side switch at EVO 2018 after Go1 reset the finals against him, and the organizers weren't prepared for this and it took a long time to discuss what they would do, if a side switch was okay, etc.

They should've just consulted the rules, said yes, had it done, and it'd be done in 30 seconds, but it took around 5 minutes for it to actually happen. The reason SonicFox did this was almost certainly to slow the momentum Go1 was having - in fighting games, getting pulled "out of the moment" so to speak can really mess you up mentally, and it did.

However, nothing about it was against the rules, and that it took as long as it did was the organizer's fault and not anyone else's. SonicFox basically wanted to stop his opponent's momentum for a second, and got extra lucky that the organizers were incompetent which killed Go1's momentum entirely. You could perhaps call it sleazy, but it's not something that's against the rules and he did legitimately win the matches.
 
Cleaning thread of two key themes: "this is not a lolcow" and comments that could fit in literally any AC thread. It isn't your job to explain to OP why you do not think someone should be a lolcow or to quibble over how much content is there. That's staff's job. Also, if you are saying things that would fit with literally any other furry, then your comments are taking up space. Please be kind to our readers and don't put them through that.

I honestly didn't know Sonicfox was 20 until I looked him up and his attitude makes a lot of sense. That means he's been doing this shit since what? 15 or 16? I think it was earlier in this thread or I saw it farming for bullshit on twitter where a guy was saying that he was burned by him at his first tournament and SonicFox made the excuse that he was "16 lmao" and was literally a kid. That made me think about just where the fuck is his parents or family and is he this rude outside of the FGC. I predict that after his 15 minutes of fame runs out he'll be stuck without any personality, useful skills, or networking to get an actual career.

Also I love SonicFox stanners a lot. They're just as funny as the a-logs.

Give it time, watch his popularity fade, and i'm sure he will do something stupid. He's part of the FGC, they all end up doing something stupid. Infiltration got done in November for domestic abuse, no doubt Fox will end up doing something embarrassing.

Perhaps more interesting is how he is planning to put his OC on merch and use it for promotion. I am pretty sure we will get some cringe from that.
