There's no reason for Steam to get back into the chinese market. They worked with a CCP-owned company, once they served their purpose (China wanted their tech), they got kicked out of the chinese market as the CCP-own company was releasing their own version of Steam.

As a fag myself, I was really confused why people were flipping their shit at Doug. He has a right to his views on gays, and he wasn't telling people to go murder trannies or trying to pass laws to have lesbians publicly hanged, so I really couldn't give a shit about it. AFAIK, he didn't push his views on his Catholic religion or homosexuals in his games, so everyone should have just left him the fuck alone.
So far as I know, he still does. I don't think he was particularly hostile to things like civil unions or had anything against gay people, but just completely not kowtowing and worshipping gays is now equivalent to lynching them. It's ridiculous not being able to distinguish between a principled disagreement and a lunatic screaming GOD HATES FAGS at (for some reason) a military funeral.
IIRC, Doug is a die-hard Catholic, and he tows the party line of "gay marriage is against God's will" or something along those lines. Other than that, he's never expressed hate or animosity against LGBT persons.
Late (and off topic) but when Lenin was in power it was all about feminism, gay rights, you know all the various pozzed shit. Then Stalin came to power and realized people weren't having kids and the country went in a very trad (but still irreligious) direction. Nowadays while not trad Russia is not full on pozzed like the west. So there you go 3 major cultural shifts within the span of a century. Not quite the decade by decade phenomenon you're looking for, but as much as people like to believe in America every decade was some totally different compartmentalized thing, thats not the case. As someone who lived through the 80's theres not much difference between that decade up until 2012 is say, yea clothes pop culture was different, 9/11 and all that, but it was different in the sence of being different sprinkles on cake rather then being a different cake.
