Here is my personal consensus.consensus so far?
The fact they made their own engine and everyone is saying it looks great has me excited.
I'm also hearing the story isn't that great so far, the controls are clunky, and some features aren't really that well explained in the game.
I think a lot of it is from an MMO company trying to make a single player game. MMO's are way different. You're expected to have a friend that had friends to teach them how to do this shit. Not to mention trying to port a keyboard all to controller (and most people were playing on controller like I like to).
I have high hopes for them, and applaud their effort but I think it may just end up becoming a cult classic. I think some of the clunky controls and MMO perspective is going to kill the game to some of the single player audience (plus the weird ass controls and unnecessary menus I'm seeing); but I think to some it will be worth playing 20 years from now because of the innovation seen in this.
I think it'll be wonky considering it comes from an mmo company but I don't think it'll be "ass".this game is gonna be ass just like dragons dogma 2 and blackmyth wukong
I don't even blame the dev, Denuvo works (to at least delay people from cracking it for a week or so for the majority of sales). Were people really expecting this giant open world game with a ton of hype to not have some form of DRM?
Annnnd it's dead to me. Was going to pirate it to see if it would be good, in which I would then buy it if it was, but even if I bought it I can see it being borderline unplayable due to Denuvo. Even outside of performance issues, you own the game even less than before, the game may seem offline but I'm pretty sure Denuvo needs you to be online sometimes in order to check if you own the game or else lol rip your game, and then if something happens to their servers or domain lol rip your game again. Your CPU change their cores at all? Lol rip your game. Windows updated? Lol rip your game. Probably even more examples I don't know of that show how volatile Denuvo is.Apparently, the devs announced that the game will have Denuvo
I’ll wait for no Denuvo and a decent sale.I was going to get it before the denuvo announcement, since I have nothing interesting to play at the moment and more money than reason. Their fuckup saved me 70€ gg.
Yeah but it'll likely take several years before they remove that malwareI’ll wait for no Denuvo and a decent sale.

C'mon Atomic Heart. You have your last DLC, un-fuck your Denuvo already. Also, some games never have Denuvo removed from it. Planet Coaster 1 was released in 2016 and still has Denuvo to this day.
Maybe denuvo changed their business model to subscription like everyone else in the world? Planet Coaster probably had the version without the sub and sub is why some games remove it after a year or less. Also, some games never have Denuvo removed from it. I thought Pearl Abyss claimed their recent footage and Digital Foundry said that their testing were both done with Denuvo runningI don't even blame the dev, Denuvo works (to at least delay people from cracking it for a week or so for the majority of sales).
I think people are more miffed that all the bench mark test where done without Denuvo with high praise. Now we gotta see what kind of hit Denuvo produces after all the good will hype that the game is not a Unreal 5 shuttering slop fest.
