It's like Fable 3 if the developers had endless money and no deadline but were still a little retarded.I’ll wait until a kiwi can review this cause I typically like open world games(bg3/divinity) but boy do I have a feeling this is going to be like ff7 rebirth where you get 70 hours in and are like why the fuck can’t you just end already

So I'm going to see a lot of "Where's the yellow paint?" from the usual journo types, huh?
I think Luke Stephens isn't bad
Brothers, I don’t understand why you all trust someone like Luke Stephen. He is a shill that praise almost every new game, and his reviews are story synopsis slop like Mauler's.Luke Stephen’s review was pretty long and I liked basically everything I saw and heard.
You could use some of those savings to support KiwiFarms.I have nothing interesting to play at the moment and more money than reason. Their fuckup saved me 70€ gg.
i mean it was kind o' predictable they'd reuse shit from BD if you know it.Personally I do not plan on buying this game, it looks like a very wide but shallow experience and I'm sick of that format.
It's never steered me wrong, and Fleek's pretty based too. I don't play multiplayer shit at all and tend not to enjoy FPSes much in general anymore (lol I'm old) but I usually find myself in agreement with his verdicts on things.Ahh yes, the Fleek method
Eh, I follow them too, and they're very good for highlighting Denuvo and other shitty DRM schemes (and EOS) but once they decide to hit a game with "Not Recommended" they tend to go a bit too far finding other reasons to complain about the game. So that summary (especially re: combat and AI, which can both be fixed) might be a stretch and might not true forever even if it isn't.Also the opinion of Steam's best curator.
I don't always agree with the takes but I appreciate the principled consistency.they tend to go a bit too far finding other reasons to complain about the game
I’m seconds in and the noticeable delay between when you press the stick to move forward and when you finally move forward is annoying as all hellDecided to try it out and play just under 2 hours for steam refund. My main issue is the controls feel clunky. This is a serious problem when you have platforming and climbing segments. It makes traversal and exploration more annoying which is a problem as the main draw for this game IMO is the exploration. The weird aim with LB and hit a button to jump/talk/swing axe was also clunky feeling.
I ended up refunding it after 1 hour and 50 minutes. Maybe in a couple years they will get these issues sorted out and I can buy it on a good discount sale.

Where did you find the ray regen option? Is that a upscale only thing? So just got done playing 4 hours. Intro is quite long introducing all the systems and controls. Im playing with a controller, which I very rarely do, but I feel like I am just starting now to figure out the scheme, definitely something you just have to brute force a bit before your body commits stuff to muscle memory. I am playing on high end hard ware with ray regeneration on, but I did see what the visuals looked like without it on and its definitely quite compromised, so Pearl Abyss can technically not lie about performance, but without using a legit denoiser, the game looks pretty bad imo and using ray reconstruction does effect your FPS quite significantly. I am looking forward to playing more and upgrading the skills and exploring the world though. Story is pretty generic so far and Kliff as protag is just the basic "tough guy who doesn't speak much" archetype.
One of my biggest gripes is not being able to remap controller controls, and also seemingly doesn't support elite style controllers with paddles on the back for extra inputs, that would really help this game feel better control wise.
