The hunger strikes got a bit of press but generally lasted about a month - these were always planned and intended to be symbolic hunger strikes whereby the "hunger striker" abstains from food each day and generally only drinks water, tea and electrolytes for up to a month (that is when the serious health stuff starts).

This series of events in France is quite pertinent to the wider Internet right now - the k-farms audience are likely aware of data brokers and data leaks and linking together some degenerate's furaffinity account, but this is quite different.

There is a significant push worldwide for government Digital ID systems, face scanning and ID scanning to use mainstream websites to prove age or personhood - the naysayers have always mentioned the risk of incompetent or even competent companies having massive amounts of private data and we are now seeing first hand just how stupid this all is with a little breadcrumb example. It only takes a few steps from "this/here/now" to some sort of Facebook/Meta dystopian future where you have to scan your foreskin that links to your RealID account to prove you're a real human just to use a public urinal.

It's also a good time as any to have a long think about what information you provide to online services.
