Say what you do, but the original is a childhood classic of mine, and I always loved it and still think its replayable sometimes.

The one-hit point thing sucks, considering the weird physics, but on the other hand, you start with 9 lives because hurray for edgy puns.

That being said, its just gonna be another to chalk up for the "Unoriginal ideas hoping to make $$$" camp. I doubt it will be good unless its something like a "Bubsy 3" in the style of the 2 16-bit games. Because why not? Go for the Retro look.

IIRC 2D Bubsy games were average. Nothing special, then it ended up fucking itself and whatever sense of reputation it had with 3D. No real idea why they feel the need to waste time and money making this though.

Bubsy II wasn't that bad of a game, but the first one and the PS1 game are absolutely terrible. Bubsy 3D came out a YEAR after Super Mario 64 and that was the best the developers could come up with.

I'm looking forward to the new game, but I don't expect it to be fantastic.
