Just took at look at its Steam page. Currently sitting at a 51% good rating. Comments are leaning toward negative, with a few complaints noting that the game is short and costs too much.

If you look at some old reviews at least the first 2 Bubsy games were pretty well received for their time. While the later games are pretty bad, with Bubsy 3D in general being awful, it's interesting to see how in recent times history has been almost rewritten to say that Bubsy was always bad from the start.

And it feels like this game was made with the intention of solidifying that new narrative.

I enjoyed it, despite how short it was! But I'm sure that there will be DLC and all that good stuff since end game hints at that.

To me the stupidest thing about Bubsy with me is how I spent money on the watered down Game Boy port of Bubsy 2. Apparently I thought it'd be better on the go.
