Let me pose a scenario:

It is late 2017 and the other candidates start to get their campaigns going.

Stephen Lynch is asked by an interviewer what he thinks about Brianna Wu, and Lynch utterly destroys Wu in half a sentence. Brianna, now faced with the fact that she can't simply sit on her ass all day, play vidya and occasionally tweet about Lynch having the cooties, tries to finally start her campaign going 'for real'. She suddenly realizes that of her 50k Twitter subscribers only a dozen lives in District 8, and only one or two of them care enough to show up when she finally has the town hall 'for real'.

Then something like this will happen:
The other people showing up are, for one, senior citizens, who have literally nothing better to do and who'll try all evening figuring out what the "snarling abomination trying to fake human emotions" is trying to say - since they care and know fuck-all about GamerGate or her abortion of a video game. There will also be one or two people in the audience, who actually care about politics and ask Wu some rather poignant questions. Wu will dodge all those questions, because she has no idea what those people are talking about. Finally some guy in the audience, who is in on the big joke that is Brianna Wu, will say something that contains the words "John Walker Flynt".

I don't know what will happen next, but it is going to be the most beautiful thing we'll see in a long time.

The next day Wu will have to deal with the fallout from that, and not only claim that she had been attacked by a hate-mob, but also that she is getting "serious death threats by the Alt-Right-4-to-8Chan-#GoombaGobbler Schutzstaffeltransenräumkommando" and needs to pull out of the race because of that, while hoping that she can somehow weasel away with the 2000 bucks she's gotten via her fundraisers.

Days later she will announce that Wu 2020 will be a thing.

TL;DR: It wouldn't surprise me that Wu tries to ride the campaigning train as long as she can. Much like her steam release.

It's kind of funny that she's been "campaigning" (read: spazzing about on Twitter) for months now and hasn't even come close to talking about a legitimate issue in District 8. I kind of thought she would accidentally hit something by now given the frequency of her tweets but no luck.
 
Its weird how she tries to be cute with "frickin frak" about missing kids, and yet she has no problems swearing at people for questioning her views.
 
John pretending to care about black people. Another thing people in the 8th District are totally clamoring for. Your average Sean Murphy hasn't seen a nigger since he went to the Burlington Coat Factory in Braintree and found out that's where we've been keeping all of them.
 
It literally took less than 5 minutes to look up that story on the missing girls. The headline makes it sound like there's some sort of serial kidnapper/killer but it was just another sensationalist headline to get more clicks. The missing reports aren't related, and the number of missing teens isn't that different from the norm, also 99% of cases of missing teens in DC often return. The police department merely decided to use their Twitter account to publicize missing persons report to spread the word on it, and people automatically assumed that there was some sort of racial genocide going on.

The missing teens are not related, and there's so far no evidence of foul play. Why would this be a national news story? Just another case of lazy news sites trawling through Twitter and making up clickbait headlines rather than do even an ounce of investigative work.

I do agree with you, but I will add there is a problem in the US with black people not garnering as much attention from the popo (I can understand why for the most part, but kids are kids and probably have some effort put into finding them). It's how that fellow that had the rape van, mostly targeted prostitutes/crack heads and dumped his victims near where he lived (I've forgotten his name so help a brother out) got away with it for the better part of 20 years.

Still though John is blatantly jumping on the bandwagon to garner to SJW/peeoohceee voters. The latter of which is pretty damn hilarious given their well renown tolerance of men who enjoy the company of other men.

The Green River Killer. But even that isn't totally related because prostitutes have a much higher mortality rate than teenagers, despite teenagers being some of the dumbest fuckers on the planet doing the dumbest shit ever.

Nah it was The Grim Sleeper that I was on about (took me forever to remember his damn nickname). But both you and @Anonymus Fluhre are correct. I was saying that there's an actual issue with this sort of thing (though I misrememberd the ages of some of his victims, I thought some of them were under 18), but Brian WuWu is 100% bandwagoning with their fake championing of it as a cause.

I doubt Brianna has ever had a meaningful interaction with a black person, much less one that is openly LGBT. She's out of touch if she thinks the average black person (especially those in Massachusetts 8th) are going to support a hideous pseudo-human like her.

While I'm sure there are people I know who have at least heard of it, nobody considers it anything that you'd actually talk about in public. Anyway, by contrast, the Australian metal band Ne Obliviscaris makes $10,187 per month on Patreon. Divided among the 6 of them (there are currently 5 due to firing their bassist for domestic abuse, but they're seeking a replacement), that comes to about $1,698 per month each. So each member of an Australian progressive metal band with a violin makes more Patreon money than Johnny does.

Why is this? Money that gets given to Ne Obliviscaris is invested in international tours and recording new material. Money that gets given to John Walker Flynt goes to cars that sit pointlessly in the garage until Frank takes them for a spin.

People accuse crowd funding of being a way to scam people out of their money, but most people aren't going to keep giving money to someone who's clearly not using it for the intended purpose, and this will mean serious trouble for many of our lolcows here.
