I think it's because of the Engine they're using. Evolution Engine optimizes really well. If that was Cryengine, Unity Engine or Unreal Engine it would be a bitch to optimize for all systems and still look good.

That makes sense. They picked the tools for what they needed.

Maybe that's part of John's problem. He never ever sat down with a set of parameters and had to figure out what tools to use to make it work. You don't use a bowling pin to paint, but John grabbed that bowling pin, slammed it against the canvas, and went "THIS IS FINE!"

Hell, most game devs-the good ones at least-will tell you the worst thing that could happen is if they were given no limits.

Well it does help Evolution Engine is their own engine and they helped make Unreal Engine. I really want to see that Ultima clone the main dev made when he was 12 on an Apple IIe, that's impressive. More impressive than Wu forcing her devs to make Rev60 on Macs.

Well then, none of the tools did what they needed so they made their own...and we're right back to the "they're crazy in ways that help game design" thing.

Oh my God, it all makes so much sense now! Just kidding, John is re.tarded.

I'm pretty sure I've already photoshoped Wu onto the 'how do you do, fellow kids' meme so I won't repeat myself (I need to start a folder on my desktop so I can remember) but jesus tapdancing christ, this is ridiculous. A middle-aged man is pretending to be a perpetually 29-year old chick that rides motorcycles and has a shining future and everyone is supposed to pat his ass for it or you're a nazi frog.

Sounds like a 90's Saturday morning cartoon villain.

OT: How does the premise of the game make sense anyway? Let's go on a fucking long trip to the next galaxy because... Because why actually? I thought everyone had a hard time to believe the Reapers where coming, the Milky Way has enough space for everyone and you are basically going on a 600 year long suicide mission to a galaxy you can expect to be full of intelligent races that are probably busy killing each other. Races who probably are a million years more advanced than you, because they don't have a armada of killer spaceships purging the galaxy every million years or so.

Add:
I just noticed, why does Mr. Flynt and other assclowns like him not use twitlonger and have to always tweet moronically like this?
Because if you make 10 tweets instead of just one, you can get 10 times the asspats.

Something along the lines of "well the Reapers kinda blew the shit out of the earth and everything....let's bail and find a new galaxy to live in!"

Life's too short to get angry over Wikipedia but it does mildly annoy me that there's no mention of John Walker Flynt on Wu's article. We're supposed to be in an age where being a transwoman is nothing to be ashamed of, but whoever locks down Wu's article apparently doesn't believe that.

Brianna shouldn't have an article at all. She's done nothing of note and her one publicly released work is an indie game that flopped so hard you can't even get accurate metrics on its sales from Steam.

Beyond that, the thing reads like a promotional piece rather than an unbiased source of information on Wu. Shit like this is why we are eventually going to look back on ambitious projects like Wikipedia and think about how stupid it was to crowdsource tools like an encyclopedia.

I think what gets me the most about Wu isn't all of the lying he does, but the lack consequences for it, I mean, if Wu was so inclined, he could claim to be the president and his ass-patters would just reinforce the lie.

I think Johnny's Congressional run might make him deserve an article, to be honest. Glenn Beck and Ben Shapiro have already had a go at him, and if he goes on with it he's probably going to get some more mainstream attention.

I agree that there's far too much coverage on Gamergate-related nonsense, though, quite apart from how most of it isn't written from a neutral point of view. I only knew 1 other person who even knew what Gamergate was, and even he lost interest after 2014 was over.
