That's because most Native Americans live in the icky south western states and not in the totally kawaii liberal paradises of the coasts.

Oh they live all over, but they feel forced to live on reserves. Something I don't see black people complaining about.

Reading book right now on the 2008 financial collapse. What is most disturbing is how Obama's Justice Department did not prosecute bankers.

2/ It sent signal that couruption is fine! A few people will be brought up on charges, but their employer will pay for legal fees and fines.

3/ We must prosecute Manafort as hard as our laws allow. Or else, it sends a signal that colluding with foreign governments is acceptable.

4/ I believe in abolishing the death penalty. It's applied in racist ways, and I do believe innocent people are put to death routinely.

5/ But, as that is unlikely to be repealed before Manafort goes to trial for treason - I have no problem with prosecutors using it.

6/ Let him negotiate a plea deal for life in prison for information about who else was involved. That's just Realpolitik, people.

7/ Frankly, I think it would be good for America if the rich and powerful faced the same justice system that we subject poor people to.

See, that's the issue with this particular flavor of ideologue. All their holier-than-thou morality is pushed out the fucking airlock the second it prevents them from taking a shot at someone they don't personally like.

You either don't believe state sponsored executions are ethical, or you do. You don't get an exception because "We REEEEALLY want to kill this guy, tho"

And while we're on the topic, let's address the Realpolitik dreck:
"Realpolitik" is and always has been nothing more than a means for people to apply situational ethics when they lack the integrity to stand by their convictions.
It's preaching "practical solutions" when the only people it's practical for are politicians looking to sidestep something they promised to uphold.

TL;DR- It doesn't fucking work because it operates under the assumption that people aren't scumbags, and that leaders and politicians have the public good at heart.

The reason that news story isn't getting coverage is because a great majority of those disappearances are either runaways or pimping/kidnapping crimes committed by black men and news organizations have no interest in reporting crimes that black men commit unless it's absolutely necessary.

Boy, I bet Johnny spent all week thinking of a context in which to shove the word "realpolitik" into a Twitter rant to look like he knows anything about U.S. politics.

im pretty sure your tale ends with being committed...

of course in the good 'o days you wouldnt be put in a female asylum...
She's so fucking ignorant.

'Women's trouble': PMT or soul-meltingly painful periods; two things she'll never have the joy of enduring. But at least we can always trust Brianna to erase female experience in favour of her own batshit version of the world.

Most crimes that white men commit don't get news coverage either. News agencies have to think a story will sell to cover it. When a black man commits a high profile crime like the Dallas or Baton Rouge shootings, it gets coverage, though it will be portrayed differently depending on the agency reporting it.

My second favorite part of this is that there's been a decrease in the number of missing persons cases from last year in DC, but whatever the news needs a headline.

But by far my favorite part is the "GET TO IT".

So what's the status of Missing Persons cases in MA-8? Is he even vaguely aware of what actually concerns his would-be constituents?
