I remember reading somewhere that Wu had originally wanted some kind of Alice in Wonderland reference for the organization until some silly sane person convinced her that canard was overdone. As it is, I think we're better off rooting for Fifth Column. They at least understand body armor.
BONUS FUN NOTE! Before Wu closed the Steam Rev60 forum, I asked her why the game didn't have a Mass Effect/Dragon Age/FFXIII-esque codex for in-game lore. This could have been done to enrich the world of Revolution 60 a bit more and help establish context about everything in it, giving insights into technology, personnel, organizations, et al - you know, all stuff that Rev 60's little promo docco failed to do. There was a few posts from Wu supporters who immediately took issue with my bringing up that half the content in said document doesn't appear in the game, but then, the impossible happened:
One of Wu's mods deigned to talk to this cis het scum.
Essentially, it was explained that Wu had actually wanted to include a codex or the like for in-game stuff, but that they had "run out of time" before release, and that it had been planned for the sequel.
Though you Kiwis would get a smile out of that.
