Probably shouting that you're a woman loudly.

In Wu's case, being born as a dick-bearer and spending all formative years enjoying male privilege, then going tranny, then throwing trannies under the bus when convenient, then mansplaining to women what their interests are and what games they should enjoy, which just happen to be Wu's.[/QUOTE]

Gamers' reactions to Revolution 60:

"The fuck is this shit?"

You know what's the ultimate contrast to Revolution 60?

Deadly Premonition.

Because even though DP looks like a fucking PS2 title, even though many of its mechanics are wonky, its enemy damage algorithms in dire need of tightening, and its ability to scare the player ranges from laughable to pants-shredding (depending on how much you let the game get into your head) it's such an engrossing and genuinely enjoyable game, with such an amazing storytelling apparatus that it genuinely ranks with one of the most uniquely enjoyable gameplay experiences I've had in almost a decade.

Seriously, if you can put aside the fact that it looks like shit and has a myriad of tiny gameplay issues (which add up to a few stumbling blocks), the game surprises you with a lore-rich world and an actually really enjoyable story and characters that are, simply put, a lot of fun to check out. I could probably write entire thesis statements on the game, and understand enough of the lore by now that you can ask me almost anything about the game and I'll probably know the answer about it.

The "Zach" mechanic of the player being a voice in York's head means you get more insight on York's mindset and how he interacts with the world than almost any other protagonist. Deadly Premonition succeeds despite failing in every category that exists, and it's one game I continue to play through and re-play through over and over again because I enjoyed it that goddamned much. Every time I play it, I learn something new, and I make it a point, about once every 2 years or so, to play through it again start to finish.

The two games have a number of commonalities. They're optimized like complete shit, they both make laughable use of their current hardware, their gameplay is frustrating and often fraught with problems, and their overall presentation is bland and uninteresting (at first). The difference is that if you soldier past all of that, Deadly Premonition rewards you with one hell of an interesting experience with a damned good story and a fucking fantastic (and deeply flawed; and thusly interesting) protagonist, and if you do the same with Revolution 60, it's just predictable and fucking boring.

People will be talking about Francis York Morgan years from now. Fucking nobody's going to remember Holiday.

Sometimes I think one day we'll get a tweet from Wu that just says "The Aristocrats!" and we'll never hear from them again. A year later Frank Wu will finally realize he was used as a living prop for one of the best performances in history. One day he'll open his front door to get the newspaper only to find a rose with a note attached.

"Thanks for making the spaceships.

- John Flynt"

You have no idea how much I need this to be true, but it's not. It never will be. Now everything from here on out is just going to be one giant disappointment.

Talking about Frank?

Talking about literally everyone in the world except herself?

One thing I know Wu isn't talking about. Wu. Even though it fits her behavior to a T.

It was a few pages back but here is the real reason Wu named it chessboard. Are you ready?

She had just watched Resident Evil and decided she needed a creepy rogue AI. Red Queen was already used, but what's more powerful than the queen?

Why, the chessboard, the land the queen has to move on.

Her stupid fucking game is full of ripoffs - resident evil laser grids, creepy female AIs gone nuts named on the same game as the movie, Ultraviolet riding on the walls motorcycle stuntin, portal-esque wacky-random GLADoS shit. A decade of work on her original story do not steal and it's still just a mishmash of other work she stole.

I hope this continues to be a trend among real survivors. I am seeing it more and more in my timeline and on my private Fb posts.

  • Describe themselves as victims (literally all she does)
  • Feel abused when people don't do what they want (don't like my game? WHY DO U HAET WYMYN MANSPLAINER????)
  • Labels them as abusive (if she's said anything that hasn't amounted to "Gamergate is abusive!" for absolutely any reason in the past few months, it's news to me)
  • Attributes malevolent intent to benevolent behaviour (put R60 on other mobile apps? MANSPLAINING. Constructive criticism? MORE LIKE CONSTRUCTIVE RAPE.)
  • Pathologizing (GAYMERGAYTE IS TERRORISTS THEY WANNA MURDERER ME)
  • Use negative labels ("Dudebro" "mansplaining" "terrorists")
  • Have great difficulty describing other perspectives ("I'm right and ur wrong gayter because I sed so even when other women take offense")
  • Show little to no compassion (see: blatantly self-obsessed mindset)
  • Self righteousness (Do I have to explain this one?)
Seriously where did all this come up anyway?
