Disaster Bill Nye: 'I Am A Failure' - High Priest of Climatism admits his sermons suck

Speaking with Salon's Jeremy Binckes, Bill Nye, the Not A Scientist Guy admitted he's a failure when it comes to his Global Warming evangelization.

Citing the Trump Administration's Scott Pruitt at the head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the "well-funded" fossil fuel industry, Nye confessed he's losing the fight.

“The United States has now got the head of the EPA who wants to close the EPA,” he said in disbelief.

The fossil fuel industry has "worked so hard to introduce doubt," continued Nye, using noticeably religious language.

"We’ve done virtually nothing [climate change] all this time," he lamented.

The former kids' show host exclaimed: "I am a failure!"

Sure, Nye is a failure in the sense that he was unsuccessful in converting the masses to believe in the one true Global Warming God, but, on the upside, he's also made some spectacularly awful media in the meantime.

For example, on his widely panned Netflix show, Nye, with the help of actress Rachel Bloom, explained to the world how sexuality is "on a spectrum," boasting some super impressive, highbrow lyrics:

The not-so-sciencey-science-guy went on to urge everybody to vote for devout politicians who follow Climate Change doctrine.

“What I tell everybody is vote,” he said. “We don’t want everybody to be a scientist; that would be unwieldy.”

I really don’t like this scene from his Netflix show that everyone shared when it came out.
Not because it’s against conversion therapy, that’s fine. Personally I don't really care if Bill believes their are more than two genders (frankly announcing your pronouns makes my life easier since I don't have to bother getting to know you), his strategy is poorly judged however by mixing his message he managed to discredit it. He should really have stayed on target and continued to hammer enviromentalism and evolution which are something the general public can get behind, rather than stumbling into vogue identity politics 30 years too late.

I remember being five or six and staying awake worried and having nightmares about global warming, because there were people telling me that in twenty years it'd be too hot to go outside and there would be no food because plants would all die from heat. We're a little over twenty years later now, and October is a little warmer than it was when I was a kid but not as warm as it was in 1916 before everyone had cars. I think someone lied to me.

The worst of the climate change people like Bill Nye are just hysterical and pushing an angle they've already gone all in on. It's obviously not as bad as we thought if we keep having to shift projections back about when we're all going to spontaneously combust.
At the same time, people who flat out deny it are being silly. We cut down a ton of the trees and replaced them with flat black hot rocks that we drive explosion mobiles on, we probably aren't helping the planet here. There's nothing wrong with urging people to be better, but there are people out there who take the suggestion that we try to be more Earth friendly as a personal attack. Like a lot of issues, reality probably hits somewhere in the middle of the two worst assholes you can find.

To be fair, a lot of us have had to deal with harpies screeching at us about how, if we don't take our lightly-used toilet paper for a second spin, the world will combust and we're evil hatey-haters who hate. Never mind that many of the things people "recycle" don't actually save any energy or resources or cause less pollution.

Also, there's the elephant in the room that is "developing nations". They're doing a lot more of the polluting now than we are, but the gurus give them a pass and demand the U.S. stop having kids and stop driving cars (while themselves riding around in private jets and living in energy-inefficient McPalaces on two-acre lawns).

So yeah, eventually you get to reacting to this stuff with the assumption that they're actually just trying to run your life. And then you end up saying "Fuck you" to anyone who brings it up.
