Because it's not meant to be pornographic which is the way Shapiro wants to interpret it and how it shows a decay of western values. It's just meant to be a silly song and he's taking it so seriously to the point it becomes ridiculous.

Back on topic, Ben is being held up as a spiritual successor to Rush Limbaugh, but I don’t think it will work. Younger conservatives like Ben, but his “schtick” of being an obnoxious nerd rubs many the wrong way (especially more traditional Limbaugh-conservatives, who I feel are tolerating him because he’s the best they have).

probably because right wingers on kiwi farms like me sort of trusted these guys while trump was president, but they just turned out to be grifters and immediately shifted away afterwards and went on like nothing happened.

Ben, like many neocons, probably did not like Trump, but realized that his continued survival would require cucking to the almighty Donald. Post-2016, once the writing was on the wall, many neocons made the switch to Trump (see, for example, Lindsey Graham) because they had no other choice if they wanted to avoid being supplanted by people in the Trump base. Now that Trump is out, expect a return to form now that the Never-Trump Republicans are coming to reap the spoils of Trump's loss while purging strong Trump allies.

This right here is possibly the most accurate version of what's happened to the GOP. Although part of me is convinced that Trump has something on Lindsey Graham because he went from a never Trumper to practically fellating him. Although we all know Miss Lindsey is gay so that's not much of a stretch.

It's the Republican base that determined how people in the GOP and neocons flocked to Trump's banner. They wanted to be on the winning side and this was how they did it. Trump might not have been a good leader but he was a populist. Nobody can claim otherwise.

The Trump camp is still firmly believing that he's going to run again in 2024. Whether he does or not doesn't matter at this point.

Oh that's right. Michelle Fields. Which a lot of people thought at the was because Ben wanted her and it was some kind of whiteknighting. There was also a bit of drama at Breitbart because Ben and Milo hated each other and Steve Bannon, the person in charge of Breitbart at the time, preferred Milo. Bannon is also part of why Ben was anti-Trump. He would go on tirades on his show about how evil Bannon was.

A cow is a cow regardless of their politics, we don't kowtow to one side of the aisle or the other. No one here gives a fuck about the site's "reputation". If someone looks like a cow, acts like a cow, and talks like a cow, they're a cow, and worthy of being laughed at. No one's getting "cancelled" or "arrested". It's just you being uncomfortable with people from your side of the aisle being poked at and ridiculed.

If you're really so afraid of right wing cows being made fun of, stick to the Articles & News section of the site.

Definitely. I think with most politicians in the US government, but especially Republicans, there's an internal debate between governing based on their personal beliefs vs their constituents' beliefs. Trump galvanized the GOP voting base, and if your electorate moves populist do you move with it? Although a more cynical person might view it as pushing your agenda vs pandering to the electorate.

Graham is a particularly interesting case, but I agree with John Boehner's description of Lindsey. He said something along the lines of, "He's a great dancer. He can move to the left or right as he needs." I'm looking forward to the upcoming GOP civil war over the future of the party. 2016'll be nothing compared to this.

Perhaps. My similar theory is that he hated Breitbart's direction under Bannon and saw a flashy exit. He first gained notoriety through his column on the site, 2016 Shapiro and Milo were "those Breitbart guys." Ben didn't think Trump was going to win and he guessed the writing was on the wall. He used that controversy to leapfrog into a his independent platform - which was super neocon - and later pivoted towards populism months into the Trump presidency. It's clear he doesn't believe in that grift, and every argument he gives defending voting for Trump in 2020 despite opposing him throughout 2016 highlights his chicanery.
 
At the time of Lil Benji’s departure from Breitbart, there was a huge push by the “principled” right to shut Trump down at any cost. A number of cuckservatives tried to flex their shriveled nuts and it didn’t work. Later it was revealed that many of these guys were on the take from major anti-Trump donors. Realistically Ben and those various faggots hate Trump more than Hitler (and were quite vocal about it); some only came around after they realized there was money to be made grifting off of Trump’s base, something Trump himself took advantage of, especially towards the end of his presidency.

Politicians want to keep their jobs just like everybody else. So it's not a surprise that they move where their constituents take them. The problem is most people are stupid when it comes to politics and only think of the small picture. This is part of the reason why politicians make such big promises when campaigning only to find that once they're in office it's next to impossible to deliver what they said.

This song's just a random example - Ben is pretty much irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, but the abundance of stuff like this is basically just sleazy corporations marketing porn to kids for profit - making things as porned-out as possible without technically tripping over the line and being confined to the censors. Definitely does make a case for the decay of values, even if one isn't stuck in a 1950s mindset.

I could probably find random shitposts which are more creative and intellectually stimulating than what's being passed off as "music". This specific song is just 1 in a long list.
