Are we sure it's related 6700k modems
Nah but there's a CPU called the i7-6700k. I don't see why it'd be filtered because you'd expect PC gamers to brag about their specs on the PC port.

Maybe there's some sort of optimization bug that makes the game run poorly on i7-6700k processors, and they don't want anybody talking about it.

I certainly hope so and I also hope investors start barking and biting the companies that insult their customers. It's bad business... or supposed to be anyways, but gamers tend to eat whatever shit is served.

Yeah, this is why I laugh at all the spergs that comment on every single BFV video "You called me uneducated, i'm not buying this shit!"

Most gamers don't care, they are going to buy this mediocre crap from Dice and EA like they always do, and EA isn't going to change a damn thing.

I could be wrong, this could be the new Mass Effect Andromeda, but I highly doubt it.

This becomes a bit more difficult for the big corporate folks where staff is more transient and its harder to "pedestal" an individual into taking on the multi-hat role of director, producer and promoter of the game. The rare exceptions to that rule were and are Todd Howard (who basically made Bethesda) Shingeru Miyamoto (who now seems to have an able successor in Hidemaro Fujibayashi) and Hideo Kojima. (Now freed from the madness of corporate oversight).

Whatever you want to say about the BF V (non)controversy (depending on how you see it), no one can disagree on how badly EA fucked up the PR on this game. At this point of development, you want to see buzz rising for the game, mainly in the form of strong interaction with your official trailers, or people talking about it on Twitter/reddit..etc.

But what we're seeing now is the complete opposite of that, and while EA's decision to delay the launch seems sound, the November launch date means they will be competing for normie bucks with games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Super Smash Bros..etc. That's a fucking tall order for some generic WWII game.

We can't get the preorder numbers but I popped into the Amazon top 100 to get an idea of what people are dropping money on and couldn't find it on the list anywhere. Turns out Amazon currently has all versions of it listed as unavailable, for some reason. Not good.

It is on Amazon UK, though, and it's sitting at #20 behind the new Dragon Quest XI and Mario Kart 8, a game that was released over a year ago. Their direct competition, Black Ops 4, is listed at #3. That's got to sting.

For another sampling, I checked the Gamestop PS4 best sellers. It was on the fourth page of results behind the Resident Evil 2 and Kingdom Hearts III special editions that won't be out until January and Spyro Reignited, which is dropping the week before V.

Imagine if you spent millions on a game so you can shoehorn in representations of women and POC to virtue signal to purple hairs who don't play your games, only to get BTFO by a PS1 remaster about a purple dragon that doesn't even have human beings in it.

They "delay" is because the game is doing so fucking poorly they're having to run like hell from Blops 4 and RDR 2. It's a desperate attempt at hoping another payday will come for people who will then buy the game as "something for christmas". Problem is most people will probably just ask to cover some microtransactions or buy skins for them in their ace new games.

Meanwhile on GAME (The UK's equivalent of Gamestop and last-man-standing in the high street fight) they are not promoting the game at all and instead the "top bar" games are: Spiderman, BLOPS 4, Destiny 2 Forsake, PUBG, Tomb Raider and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Clicking on the Pre-orders for "upcoming titles" and it's dumped a month before christmas when people are already likely to be buying other much better titles.

My own browsing on Amazon UK places a big ol banner demanding I buy a copy so I can go play the BETA, but the search bar of most popular titles includes Fallout 76 and AC: Odyssey. EDIT: It has now slipped to #25 according to mine, behind a pair of headphones and some controllers. :story:

As much as othe posters are going "hurr durr it don't matter because gamers don't give a shit" it sure as hell is translating into actual, painful looking, sales figures.

As much as it looks insignificant, the hardcore gamers matter because they are huge guerilla influencers, when I was a much bigger gaming nerd in middle-school, I drove so, so many purchasing decisions merely by making recommendations, and I assume the same happens nowadays via social media/YouTube, and we can see EA fucked that up and the results already are quite bad.

Now the delay will prove to be very costly, because you have great games out a month before (RDR2), causing people with small budgets to blow their wad early, and even better games out in the month after (meaning that people with larger budgets will be selective as well), not to mention people wanting to capitalize on sales seasons.

Again, EA fucked it up massively, and this could be the end of the Battle- series as a whole, because you can bet your ass that Wall Street will have many, many questions for EA management on why they are selling below expectations.

I won't lie, I kind of hope that the game fails, or at least sells worse than Battlefront II and Battlefield 1 did.

The way that they've treated Battlefront II's post launch support and the way they've been acting towards criticism has made me somewhat jaded about DICE. I was a fan of their games since Bad Company, but seeing how arrogant, incompetent, and sanctimonious they've become as of late makes me sort of hope that karma pays them a visit.

EA is that you?

Weird opinion:
I feel like the wrong people are pissed off at this "white man" thing. Censoring it means that BFV is treating it as the same thing as saying "nigger", which means entitled "oppression fighters" (trying to get around saying SJW because it's cringe now) can't say something like "it's only white people who are mad at this game" or whatever

EA is hitting the 100 moving average on the weekly chart for the 3rd time in 4 years.

If the yellow line crosses the green (now red) line, that will be the 100 and 200 MA crossing on the daily, which is technically called a "death cross" when in a downward direction.

This is how the market reacted to the 200 and 100 MA coming very close without actually crossing back in 2016.

Which is bad for the executives who now have to explain to the shareowners why this happened?

Now DQXI is a game that should be next to Battlefield V, not because its totally bad but they are nixing the English 3DS release and I am too cheap to buy a new system.

Haven't played the game, but the beta reactions I've seen are 'meh' at best.

This might be a Battlefront II repeat. A mediocre game that annoyed its audience on top of it.

Don't know if it will be the same.I bet they will rush other proyects like a Sims 5 or Dragon Age 4 and announce games like Mirro's edge 3, Plant vs Zombis GW3 or other franchise to say "we trully care about the players, pls buy our games".
It's going to be a trainwreck.
