See thats where i disagree. Driving is something that people with dementia seem to be able to continue to do long after they shouldn't be allowed to. We had to confiscate my grandfather's car keys because if he found them he would take the car and go to a convenience store. He could not tell his daughter from his wife but he could drive to get coffee.

Correct. However, from the standpoint of bolstering a case, it usually helps. I should've been clearer about that in my earlier comment.

Even if Chris admitted sexual contact, it's still incest and the question of consent remains. Like I said, all Barb has to do is claim it was non-consensual and a rape charge could become a factor.

True. However, incest being involved muddies the waters somewhat because it's a crime that doesn't require consent. We've covered all that already, though, so I won't go back through it.

Also speaking from experience with a very similar situation: this is absolutely correct.

That is a good point, but you have to remember how progressed she seemed to be. Chris described her like a doll. If we follow the dementia plot line, it seemed like Barb didn't want to have sex with Chris but she had no way to fight back because she was so weak and just not there. In a way, things just don't line up completely. If she was too weak to get away from her son raping her (which would already create a fight or flight response), how is she strong enough to drive?

Exactly. Based on Chris’ description (as well as her video appearances) you’d expect her to be at the stage of sitting in a recliner muttering to herself, incapable of getting up to walk around on her own, let alone getting into and driving a car.

Even if she has “good days and bad days” these two Barbaras are just too dang different.

Something’s very weird here.

That is not how it works..

During a stressful time, especially with a dementia patient, the brain can kind of stroke out (not literally). Remember that it's not fight or flight, its fight flight or freeze. Freeze is the most common in dementia patients.

More importantly than all of that is "Sunsetting" which is almost universal across all old mammals (people, dogs, mice, etc) This is the phenomenon where the patient is lucid and coherent early in the day or after a long nap, but as the day wears on they begin to lose metal capacity and become more disassociated from reality. If chris was romping in the evenings Barb would probably be more confused and more compliant. May not even remember. In the mornings and for much of the day she may be much more lucid.

Fully agreed. And co sidering Barbs past abuse of Chris, I wouldn't put it past her to act up her issues and take advantage of a very public struggle of Chris' (that being getting laid). It's a fucked up thing to do, but Barb is a fucked up person.

Perhaps her medication was updated after the checkup, or (more probable, IMO) Chris wasn't administering it properly.

Driving a car isn't exactly a strenuous activity.
 
Is there any way that @Phillip_Jeffries can be confirmed as a verified kiwileak? so far I can believe going to the house, seeing Son-chu and the cats - but Barb being at the house? that seems a little far-fetched to me.
it could be possible (as others said) that Barb was just playing up having dementia for the camera, but the descriptions Chris used were.. quite dark in terms of how her mental and physical health was. pairing that with the fact that Greene County would let Barb back into 14BC, a hoarders wet dream where she was repeatedly raped... that just doesn't make sense to me. that place isn't fit for anybody to live in, let alone a frail old lady.

Per Wikipedia, Virginia is currently issuing plates in the U series, starting at UZZ and proceeding backwards, and was on UBL in early July. UDC-3045 would have been stamped at some point in 2021, probably, so these are indeed new plates.
 
Either accidentally or purposefully, Chris would definetely benefit from an absent-minded Barb. Less chores, errands, and of course, more raping opportunities. I could see it happening accidentally at first, then Chris noticing he forgot to give her the meds and noticing how easier she was to handle.

I can confirm that the van is indeed back at the house. The plates have been replaced with what I assume are the original plates for the car. You can tell these aren't old photos by checking the date on the plate as well as the broken tail light, which apparently happened after the car was left at the motel in Richmond.

After we took our photos we started to leave. As we did, someone opened the door. At first I thought it was the neighbor that was taking care of the cats in the Chandlers' absence, but it turned out to be Barb herself. I was so freaked out I didn't know what to do, so I just said "Hi, Barb" and she said hi back then got into the van and drove off. My friend and I immediately left.

I still don't know what this means in terms of how the case will go. We all thought she'd be in hospice care until she passed. Then again this is the state with the same mental health care system that ignored Chris all these years.

I wish I had more proof than just my account of what happened but I wasn't able to take any pictures of her. Maybe someone else can go to Ruckersville and corroborate my claims? (without being a ween)

I told you niggas. Chris is probably going to skate on this and go back giving Barb tossed salad and scrambled eggs. People with dementia can still drive, it just depends on what stage they're in. She may have sundowning, which means her symptoms are worse at night than during the day.

BTW, I don't believe she drove the car, she probably had it towed from somewhere.

Or Chris withheld her meds in order to make her easier to live with/be around/fuck and now she’s finally back on them and doing better. :evil:
