Scary thing is, it is probably gonna be a ween who will discover the body or find evidence to report it. Barb just is too much apart of Christory for better or worst.

First of all, I can’t believe we’re trusting the word of some dork on reddit who drove to 14BC specifically to take pictures, believing him when he says that he 1. saw Barb come outside, 2. saw her drive off in her car, but 3. did not get a single photo of the woman herself, either in the doorway or driving off into her dementia ridden sunset. I get that some of yall are really thirsty for any milk before Chris’s court date, but put a cap on it and use some critical thinking for once. This is such a big fat lie. Also, I’d love to say it surprised me that some folks are making crazy conspiracy theories and uneducated assumptions about Barb’s medical issues (again, based on the True and Honest words of an attention seeking POS epic troll redditer), but I’ve lurked this site long enough to not expect any better.

If you havent known a relative who has gone through dementia, you would not understand the unpredictability of the disease nor how vast the symptoms range. Power leveling here to corroborate @slimz ’s grandfather’s experience with my grandmother’s, if not for relevancy‘s sake then to clear up misconceptions and drill into some of your heads how someone with this damn disease actually behaves.

When my grandmother was developing dementia, she was exactly the same. I am one of the only two girl cousins in my large family, and when she started forgetting faces she would start calling me her name instead of my own. She still drove her own car for almost a year after developing dementia. Admittedly, I was young teenager during all this, so I probably wasnt fully aware how well - if at all - my family was monitoring her driving abilities, but I do know that there were some suspicious duct taped fixes to her bumper and that she hit a woman on a bicycle and almost killed her before her keys were taken away for good. She was not charged for the incident, but I’m sure it was on the condition that her license be revoked. Even after having a major pedestrian accident that proved how far gone she was with the reasoning parts of her brain, she could still have days where she’d have full conversations with us and recognized us immediately.

What you need to understand is dementia can be extremely unpredictable and individual to each patient. It’s a disease of the brain, meaning that damage to different parts of the brain will have different effects. The temporal lobe deals with memory, the frontal lobe with intelligence, reasoning, and behavior; and the parietal lobe deals with language. Most people have combinations of damage to some or all of these areas, with more symptoms developing as the brain damage progresses. My grandmother‘s dementia started out with her not having severe memory issues but having major loss of reasoning. This was a major factor for her car accident; she could cognitively understand how to drive her car mechanically and knew generally where things were, but she could not reason why she cant go when she has a red light. Different parts of her brain were working well at the time, but her frontal lobe that dealt with logic and judgement was severely impaired.

This is the last thing I will say about my grandmother to hammer home how the average kiwi will never be able to know Barbs full condition. After her license was revoked, my grandma broke her hip after a fall, and typically going under anesthesia for a major surgery at that age with dementia accelerates the condition exponentially. She got worse fast and before long she was in hospice. My mom spent most of that week with her, and was telling me how far her condition had progressed. She wanted us to see her one last time because we knew she was going to die soon, and warned us that she was nearly unresponsive besides a handful of words and occasionally staring through your soul.

When we got there the next day though, she was was almost 50% present. She was smiling and talking to everyone, though it was obvious how frail and weak she had become. She still got my name wrong at the end and mixed me up with my cousin, but i knew she recognized me when she saw me. Despite how severe her memory issues had become, she was able to form complete sentences most of the time we were there and, in my perspective, seemed like she was doing bounds better than when i had seen her in the weeks after her surgery.

The next day, she died.

Dementia is a scary, confusing, and still relatively misunderstood disease. A person with dementia exhibits symptoms like unpredictable tides, they come and go in intensity and you never know when they’ll flare up or dissipate. I was not that close with my grandmother, but I hope that none of you have to experience something like it with a family member. Seeing someone who was around raising you become a hollow shell of themselves who can’t recognize you anymore is an experience that no one should have to live with.

It fills me with absolute disgust and hatred towards Chris that this rapist piece of shit could look at this woman, who was no doubt exhibiting at least a fraction of these symptoms, and think that she was at all capable of consent or reasoning. For all we know, she could have the same symptoms of dementia my grandmother did and Chris could have taken advantage of her lack of reasoning skills to excuse why fucking her was okay. I can’t see Barb being anything but the victim in this circumstance, even if she was a terrible mom. Chris knew what was going on, was Barbs sole caretaker and saw her symptoms daily, and still committed this heinous series of actions WHILE BRAGGING IN CODE TO OTHERS. The prevelance of certain thinking, memory, or reasoning skills that she may still have are irrelevant because she is already labelled as an individual with cognitive decline.
TLDR; Dementia is an umbrella term for symptoms of cognitive decline in mental ability impairing anything from memory, reasoning, behavior, and other thinking skills. Alzheimers is a specific disease under that umbrella which accounts for a vast majority of dementia patients, which is why so many people make the false assumption that they are one in the same. You can have dementia and not have alzheimer’s. Even if this redditor was lying about everything they saw, it would not be farfetched for Barb to still be able (or at least be allowed) to drive with dementia. It is not at all out of the rhelm of possibility for Barb to have spaces of time throughout the day where she has seemingly perfect clarity, and then have times where she cant say a single word and can only stare off wide-eyed and void of cognitive activity. I know all of this from personal experience.

There is just no way for you to look at a person through videos and photos posted online to know exactly how a dementia patient’s symptoms present. A 60 second interaction with a dementia patient in the morning could vary drastically from from another in the afternoon or evening. Unfortunately, the only person who knows exactly what Barb’s condition is turned out to be her rapist hellspawn, and we already know Chris-chan’s POV can’t be trusted since its been proven to be deceptive from the start of Barbgate Christory.

The incest charge seems to suggest that Barb wasn't necessarily in her proper mind.

If Barb doesn't have dementia, but was instead overpowered, wouldn't it be a rape charge?

Her being back at the house and able to be unsupervised/drive off on her own just seems like a stretch.

Depending on how much (or rather how little) the police or Virginia govt got involved with her after the initial check up, I could buy it. Chris was her only family left, no one else is really around to take the keys from her. Unless she causes a major accident or something to warrant her license being revoked, she could probably pass for any other elderly person on the road with bad driving skills. And again, we aren’t fully aware how far along her disease is, and I honestly wouldn’t put faith in social services to step in unless they drastically need to.

Yea, SS wouldn't get involved unless it was life or death. You gotta remember that it costs the government time and money, and they're more fickle than a goddamn Jew. She'll struggle by herself definitely, but until she's literally dying the government won't do Jack shit.

Getting your license revoked in the US seems like a pretty difficult thing to do as far as I understand. The country has no problem having 90 year olds and over driving and I've seen plenty of people's dash cam footage of drivers on the road driving like they haven't had their meds yet, or they're on them...

Until someone gets some kind of actual evidence that Barb is mobile and functional, I'm going to be doubting. A mobile and functional Barb could have Chris out of jail just by telling the cops, "Oh no, he didn't do anything, he just tells stories to those Internet troll people, he's confused." She could simply lie about any incest and be off the hook herself as well as spring him at the same time, even if they were fucking all over the house. Even if Chris himself told every cop he passed about his "girlfriend", any half-decent lawyer with a cooperative Barb could've gotten him sprung long before now. The fact that Chris is in jail right now is conclusive proof that either she isn't functional, or she ratted him out. Since the latter would mean that his tugboat goes away and financially strands her to die destitute, I can't see her having chosen that option even if he was doing her dirty.

His lawyer's statements also don't seem to line up with a lucid Barb. He was spinning it like it was all just blown out of proportion hype from the Internet, which would just make him look bad in the future if an old woman's going to be on the stand pointing at Chris and saying he's an old mother rapist. "Ha ha those wacky Internet people making up stuff, am I right your honor?" doesn't cut it if there's an actual victim on the stand. And on the other hand, if there was a lucid Barb who was saying Chris hadn't done it, the lawyer should absolutely have mentioned that fact, but didn't.

Now there is a slim possibility of Barb previously being a potato but now being lucid. If they wheeled her into a hospital and got jizz DNA off of her while she was totally out of it, Chris is fucked regardless of whatever claims she makes now. But if she was that bad off, just switching up her meds shouldn't have her back at 100% and driving around town. I've had grandparents with cognition issues, in some cases helped by meds, in some hurt by meds, and fixing their meds certainly helped, but it wasn't a night and day difference.

I really do regret not getting any solid proof of her being there, but I'm honestly telling you she is at the house. The whole thing was just so outlandish I'm not really surprised that someone people don't believe the claim.

Also tomorrow I'm gonna call the courthouse to see if someone will be able to tell me if the hearing is open to the public or not. I'll report back with my findings.

Barb has threatened suicide multiple times, if you include wishing death on herself for something petty in the presence of Chris and Barb, even moreso. I believe she threatened to kill herself to prevent Chris from going to a convention and then buying him a video game or toy or something after he didn't (I think this was 09 or 10 when he was in his late 20s). She also got into it with Bob a lot and one of the reason Bob and Chris went to fast food places so often was because she refused to cook for them when they moved back because they didn't want her spaghetti one time and she said she wasn't cooking anymore.

I can recall 4 or 5 times off the top of my head she threatened Chris and sometimes Bob, though I know the numbers especially threatening suicide are higher. Barb isn't evil enough to warrant what she got but she's far from a good person and a very shitty mother. I actually suspect she invited herself as Chris' prom date instead of the other way around with how narcissistic she is.

Some of the Barb simps on here either don't know what she was like, or would feel sympathy for a geriatric Chairman Mao who is stuck in a wheelchair regardless of what he did.

I wouldn't put it past Barb to turn in her son. Yes Barb loses money, but at the cost of not having to spend time in the clink for incest. She's got one foot in the grave anyway and probably wants to return home to her cats. Chris not being around might even be relaxing to her. He's almost 40 and has probably hit his peak, the cow has been milked for all its worth. He's also fucking crazy too.

Kiwi Farms is full of pessimists, usually because most lolcows are hopeless. I'll entertain your story as a possibility, like a rumor or something. A lot of folks here were railing when dumpster diver was posting the Manchester High Leaks but later the Idea Guys were prepping to utterly destroy Chris' grasp on reality and no one saw it coming. I think most are worried that people are going to fuck with Chris or his Mother and cause harm or just invade sanctities like their privacy and voicing doubt or concerns because they think messing with them is fucked up.

Meanwhile I think the last few years have shown that the biggest threats to Chris are troll cabals on the internet and not some dude posting a story of seeing Chris or Barb in the wild.
