How will Eren be stopped?

The anime could have avoided this with a couple of changes:

Eren gets Ymir to side with him over Zeke in terms of revenge vs sterilization of her people but Ymir tells Eren it will come with a cost: his humanity. Eren agrees and when he turns into the creepy ass ribcage centipede Titan, his humanity is gone and he is now an irreversible beast only capable of destroying. No human consciousness or spirit. Just destroy.

Ymir turns her attention to Zeke, calling him a race traitor who will suffer an even WORSE fate than Eren as she basically turns him into her slave and forces her to do the announcement that Eren does declaring the outside world will die for the sins committed against Ymir's people.

Eren gets no dialogue for the rest of the series and is a mindless beast that must be destroyed. Replace the bit with Eren controlling the Titan horde and lost in the moment of "freedom" with Ymir forcing Zeke to watch and feel EVERY SINGLE DEAD MARLYAN being murdered as punishment for his race traitorist ways.

Ending becomes all about stopping the Titan horde and mercy killing Eren. No incel Eren ranting, instead we have Zeke screeching for someone to kill him, because he's being endlessly mindraped by being forced to experience every death caused by the Titan horde as punishment for his treachery while at the same time, is trapped in the Paths at the end of the series, with Levi denying him death to leave him to be trapped forever reliving the Rumbling and the carnage/deaths for eternity, as far as a fate worse than death.
Bro, wtf? This should Eren's punishment, not Zeke's.

Eren's punishment is that he becomes a mindless beast to be put down. He gets his genocide, but he becomes a literal mindless beast pawn of Ymir in terms of "be careful what you wish for" as far as Ymir seeing him as nothing but a tool to transform as she sees fit.

Zeke gets the fate worse than death, per the axiom that being a traitor qualifies as the worse thing a person can be and deserving of the worst possible punishment one can suffer for the crime of treason.

Bruh, he literally tried to save the world. What are you talking about? If anything, Eren's the traitor.

Okay, then what? We still have a whole epilogue. Does everyone just prepare for war?

Zeke is still the traitor to his parents and people and the one responsible for Eren being what he is.
The most Zeke did to affect Eren’s upbringing is set off a chain event to lead Grisha to be on Paradis.

Outside of that, Eren’s actions are his own fault for being an idiotic incel who played along with what Zeke wanted just to murder everyone for petty reasons

You know, I'd be inclined to believe you if the PATHs system hadn't made everything such a clusterfuck. The time-travel bullshit makes it hard to exactly pin down who's responsible for what when everything and anything becomes a fucking hypothetical.

In the actual series, no one's to blame for Eren's bloodlust other them himself. In a better series, this isn't the case as we've brought up multiple times before in this thread, but as it stands, Eren's the only person at fault because he himself had all the power in the world to change things, and still chose to do the most fucktarded thing ever that ultimately solved nothing.

Even ignoring PATHs, Eren outright fucked over any of Paradis' diplomatic efforts to even think of other solutions to force them to follow Zeke's fake plan because of one racist assembly which Eren and all the real life fanboys act like is the ultimate proof there is no chance for peace.

PATHs only just added layers on Eren being a horribly shitty person since he only got full access to that shit after doing all the other terrible shit he did before time traveling to get his dad to murder people.

How he tried to save the world is a problem. His plan was genocide. In terms of lives lost, sure, wiping out the Eldians is the lesser of two evils. But the guy is still a traitor even if his motives were logically sound (save the bigger pile of people).

Ignoring the manga for a minute, so far in the anime, to a viewer Eren has an understandable goal. One may not agree with it, but he said he doesn't want to leave Paradis' fate to luck, like hoping diplomacy works.

If they just kept him on that path as an extremist then what he did up to that point is arguably justifiable.

The issue is that there hasn't been any actual effort in the anime to try diplomacy, Eren just said fuck off after one racist meeting combined with Mikasa saying she views him as family to justify committing genocide, and the dumber part is no one tried to put him on a leash because god forbid there are substantial consequences for anyone in the main trio.

There was no effort at diplomacy because Eren directly states that he won't leave the fate of Paradis' to a non-guaranteed method.

As for the Mikasa family thing, even by the manga that seems blown out of proportion. I didn't see him state that was the reason, maybe you're inferring it from something but in the manga he wanted to free Ymir by being killed by Mikasa. Somehow Mikasa's decision satisfied her and the Titan curse was gone.

That whole thing with Ymir needs to be cut. It's retarded.

Here's the problem: anything that isn't global genocide is a non-guaranteed method of solving Paradis' problems. That's called life.
Yeah, but even under normal circumstances war can be difficult to avoid. When you're a race of monster people who in the past have committed atrocities and everyone hated you for centuries, and you're actively being genocided, and nobody will ever truly trust your dangerous monster species... I mean, you pretty much have two options: wait for your inevitable destruction or destroy them first.

If I lived in Paradis I'd support it. If I lived elsewhere, I wouldn't. Also, I'd be sure to annihilate the monster species ASAP.

So, I think it's just a really shitty situation.

Real life will disagree immensely on this point as wiping out your own people is the greater of two evils. It is the one world globohomo order is where killing your own kind is seen as the lesser of two evils. Especially when we seen Zeke be a traitorous snitch. While Eren we can guess that he traveled around the world and met the various people inhabiting it during the timeskip before making his decision to do the Rumbling. But Isayama dropped and fucked the ball as he supposed to show not tell the audience the how and why of something that important.

All I know is that Eren is a whiny incel fuckup who acts like an edgy fag and his shit's all retarded.

But Isayama dropped and fucked the ball as he supposed to show not tell the audience the how and why of something that important.

In Isayama's defense, he's a massive cokehead who probably wrote the entire second half of AOT as one long shitpost to both troll his audience and to piss off his editor when he got tired of writing about giant zombies and wanted to write some edgy WWII-esque setting instead.

Isn’t it because he didn’t trust eren since he could transform into a titan and during that part of the series titan shifters were unheard of. Also for the reason why he even beat him up was for some dumb reason to convince the court that he could take care of eren. Have these guys watched the show?, why do they want Levi to beat up a kid.

I talked to somebody regarding part 3 of the final season, and he said something along the lines of that he felt obligated to watch it because he invested so much time in it. The next part comes out in 2023. The ending is just going to be glorious with this being dragged out, isn't it?
I was in his shoes until a few days ago, and unless MAPPA trolls Japanese viewers by giving it an AOE, it’s really, really not worth anyone’s time.

With that said, I’m curious to see how MAPPA will adapt 139.5, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they delegated the whole thing to the end credits of the final episode.

They just want Attack on Titan to be edgy G.I. Joe where the Paradisians are universal patriots who are good because they'll do it for their country and Eren will have a happy ending where he marries his Aryan waifu as they have a daughter together.
