Shots rang out in Minneapolis early Saturday after federal police tried to subdue a man who was waving around a gun, according to law enforcement sources and video posted to social media.

A 39-second clip showed about half a dozen cops struggling with someone on the sidewalk in front of a donut shop at 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue, when the gunfire erupted.

The officers appeared to scatter after the barrage of shots went off, according to the footage.

The shooting happened after the man brandished a firearm with two magazines, a law enforcement source told The Post, sharing a photo of the firearm.

In a statement, city officials urged residents to stay calm and avoid the area.

“We are aware of reports of another shooting involving federal law enforcement in the area of 26th Street W and Nicollet Ave. We are working to confirm additional details,” the statement said.

More than 100 protesters had been at the scene when the encounter occurred. The man’s condition was not immediately known.

On Friday, protesters yelled obscenities at two people wearing plain clothes who they believed to be agents after protesters claimed their rental car was linked to the incident, according to video reviewed by The Post.

Neither person was an officer.

Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) posted about the incident on X late morning Saturday as the details of the shooting were still unfolding.

“I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening,” he wrote.

“The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.”

Neither the White House or the Department of Homeland Security have said what precipitated the shooting, and did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Despite what the Post says about the protestor's condition, Fox News is reporting he died. Spiciness inbound.

Personally I think they simply believed he was going for a gun in the flurry of the struggle when it may have actually been knocked or taken out of his hands. Now officers aren't expected to psychically know everything immediately all around them all the time so the shooting still might be considered the fault of the activist. Especially since this job should be handled by local law enforcement instead of being forced onto ICE.
From the footage I've seen, the gun had already been removed by the agent with the gray jacket. Dude was already pinned down by multiple agents, no real reason to open fire like they did.

The important thing though is ICE agents' arresting power is limited to people they suspect of being in the country illegally, at least according to the policy on their website. I can't see the guy making any threatening gestures with his cell phone prior to being knocked to the ground, so that also rules out self-defense for instigating the take-down.

Regardless, given how the different videos present things, the situation and agents involved need to be investigated.

Back years ago a co-worker of my mom was grabbed from behind by a guy after leaving a convenience store, luckily she screamed and some people helped her and the prick ran off. So after that she went and got a gun and a license to carry concealed. She kept a revolver in her purse. Well she got pulled over a few months later and reached into her purse to get her license and the cop saw the gun. He pulled his gun and told her to put her hands up and not to move or he would shoot her. It all got worked out because she complied and followed instructions. That is just how quick things can happen, especially if you don't comply. This of course could have been avoided if the ANTIFA faggot didn't interfere with police getting rapists and murderers out of our country.
The mistake your mom's coworker made was not immediately informing the officer she was carrying, while keeping her hands at 10 and 2 on the steering wheel, so that the officer could safely disarm her before continuing the traffic stop.

This is literally the first rule of concealed carry.

There's a side by side earlier in the thread but the video of the disarm itself is here. I don't think anything shows the suspect actually trying to (suicidally) draw it.

I have yet to see anything to that effect either. It's still noisy, but I have only seen "He was armed!".
Full of the same people who supported Rittenhouse showing up at a protest with a rifle. "It's wrong only if they are protesting against what I believe!"

This must be a Reddit refuge.

The video some else posted shows an officer coming in in the middle of the struggle and coming out with a gun. I think someone else who was focused on the physically struggling with the man could be forgiven for thinking it was someone else's gun or not seeing it at all.

Thats why local law enforcement needs to be around enforcing basic law and order. Its their duty.

Where is the video of the full actual start of the struggle? Are you talking about the one before it begins? That doesn't actually show the start.

Tell me you never watched the video.
Obstruction and resisting arrest justify physical force, obstruction and resisting arrest while armed with a deadly weapon justifies deadly force. Your boyfriend didn't get ventilated for having a gun, he got ventilated for fighting cops while having a gun on him.

That someone can spend 13 years on this website and still be such a poor, uninspired, frankly dull shit-talker is a very sad thing.
Sorry that me not worshipping a pedophile that shits his pants like you do has you so triggered, little guy

Seems like both situations will get you shot. Don't storm federal buildings and don't interfere with federal law enforcement.
He wasn't interfering, though. He was even disarmed and your pedophile waifu's armed goons shot him. I thought that you MAGAloids were against tyranny?

I read the whole fuckin' thread and watched the videos.

It looks to me like there's some sort of a three-way altercation between a possible female with a scarf, Mr. Dead Guy, and an ICE agent. Anyone have the lead-up to that?

This is absolutely a situation where I would like some AI nigga to make versions where the various people are numbered or color coded or some shit because I look at this and I see a bunch of fags dressed up for a weekend at Ram Ranch.

ICE would seem less brownshirty here if they had regular uniforms and didn't all look like extras in a Lucas Botkin video.

Fag-on-fag. Sad!

I am still waiting for you to tell me why you think that Harris would've done the exact same thing that the pedophile you love has done, and if that is the case, why did you say that her winning would be the end of America?
Hey guys fun little deep dive when you’re bored: go ahead and search Hollywood’s original posts from like before 2014 and Trump and see what the whole gimmick was about when he didn’t have this to lean on.

Sort of interesting little trip.

Exactly, which is why after that she would just put her hands on the steering wheel and tell them she had a gun.

Pretti lived alone and worked long hours as a nurse, but he was not a loner, his neighbors said, and would sometimes have friends over.

"I never thought of him as a person who carried a gun," said Gitar.

His parents said their last conversation with their son was a couple days before his death. They talked about repairs he had done to the garage door of his home. The worker was a Latino man, and they said with all that was happening in Minneapolis he gave the man a $100 tip.

Pretti's mother said her son cared immensely about the direction the county was headed, especially the Trump administration's rollback of environmental regulations.

ICE's remit is to go after people suspected of being in the country illegally (and also violations of customs law). That said they are full federal law enforcement officers. If they encounter someone committing a federal offense, like interfering with the lawful discharge of their duties, they absolutely have the power and authority to arrest that person.

Non-immigration example: an FBI agent that sees you with an obvious explosive device doesn't need to go radio the BATFE. They don't need to stop and call the Secret Service if they come upon a counterfeiting operation. They are fully able to make the arrest then and there.

Hilarious. Man, if I wanted a gimmick account run by a retard who has a sudden political awakening and subsequent yen to be taken seriously for no very good reason, I'll go hang out on BlueSky.

On second thought, no I won't. I'll neck myself first.

If you actually did that and weren't a 2021 join date, you'd know I never posted about the obese, elderly, pants-shitting pedophile you love with all of your heart before the year 2020.

It still amazes me how of all of the people in the world to join a cult based on, you chose a mush-brained pedophile who is the Chris Chan of presidents to worship. It's even sadder that, in your own words, there's nothing he could do, including pedophilia, that would make you stop loving him

You can see him with the gun at :39 and between :40 and :41 you can see smoke leave the barrel as the gun fires. What you can't tell is if the Agent's finger is on the trigger. The agent himself probably didn't even notice.

It does sound like the first shot happens at the same time as he swings his arm out a bit, but I don't really see any signs that he experienced any recoil or anything and I don't see the smoke.

Congrats, you win the "Most Likely To Appear In A Future Bodycam Thread Award" for this shooting.

Tim Walz is full on delusional. I don't have the link but the stuff he's saying in this press conference is insane.
He's not delusional, he knows exactly what he is doing, and so does the mayor. This chaos is exactly what they wanted, and they will keep lying to and misleading the braindead lefty retards that live in that godforsaken state for as long as they have to in order to keep it going. Walz's "Aw shucks, I'm just a folksy midwestern fella" shtick is just an act, and unfortunately a lot of people are still falling for it. He's not THAT stupid, he knows what he is doing. He, along with Frey, and just about every other Democrat politician for that matter, are not just misguided, or TOO empathetic, they don't have their hearts in the right place, they're just evil. They're corrupt and hate the United States of America. I am tired of people making excuses for them.

I don't have the words to emphasize how much I don't give a fuck about these agitators getting what they're asking for and deserve.

Put boots on their neck immediately and start shoving those whistles up their ass one at a time until they decide it's safer to bitch about reality on reddit instead of the street.
