New anime series from Junji Ito! I hope this series has a good studio adapting it though...
People need to also know about Kazuo Umezu too, and hopefully make a modernized adaptation of his works.

Nah, Studio Deen will want to keep it to their dying breath. They've been in desperate need for a new horror franchise ever since they lost access to Higurashi and just kept sucking with everything else they got their hands on.

Oh shit, The Hanging Balloons is one of my favorites. The last anime series had pretty rough animation though, so...

Watched Harmagedon, was aware of its dismal reputation going in but I wrote that off as mindless memethink and was fully prepared to love it. Sadly it truly is laughably stupid, and must rank alongside the likes of Gundam 0083 and most of Ufotable's catalog in terms of lavish production values and immense animation talent squandered on totally retarded trash. Worth pointing out though that the X/1999 movie, from the same studio and director, is both extremely similar to Harmagedon (both deal with a diverse group of people with telekinetic powers fighting to save the world amidst destroyed cities and other desolate settings) and far superior, with more focused and economical storytelling, less ass-pull bullshit writing, more stylish and dramatic direction, and arguably even better animation.

There was a livestream earlier, introducing the four new Seiyuu of Liella!

I do wonder if the Chinese fanbase is still salty about the new members, or if that hatred chilled off already.

Chainsaw man appears to be slated for a July 4th premiere if I'm not misreading this (perfectly possible given that I don't understand a lick of Japanese).

So much for cultural sensitivity! You'd think they'd have some non-pozzed manga fans, given that it's google, to push back against this absolute bastardization of the plot.

It's like people don't have eyes anymore. Bleach has Giselle (a trap) of "you reek of semen" fame has been reimagined by "fans" as an uwu transwoman, despite Word of God that he's a guy. Charlotte (the big muscular fodder enemy) is apparently also totally a transwoman, and rather than 100% an okama. I actually lol'd when I saw that the novel translation was using she/her - have you SEEN this character?? The guy's outfit is deliberately designed to accentuate his bulge! Jujutsu Kaisen now has Kirara, explicitly confirmed to be a boy in-story, and online everyone's saying "she" and even the translator has been using "they". Kashimo, too, has been they/them'd despite being almost certainly a guy. And Boku no Hero is just irredeemably pozzed at this point, between Horikoshi's westaboo feelings, the SJW translator, and the SJW fans.

Actually, now that I think about it, imagine if they had described Ranma 1/2 as a forced feminization story :cryblood:

No wonder anime fascination outside Japan is dying.

I think Kirara might actually be a tranny, tbh, considering that the entire point of that duo is to represent characters that are expelled from polite society for rejecting traditional cultural norms in terms of appearance, sexuality (no matter how you put it the other guy is clearly a fag) and magic use.

I can buy that he's a ladyboy but not that he's transgender. Why else would the author have put a fluffy shirt/pants to imply a chest/hips + bracelets to hide the wrists + choker to hide the adam's apple? If he was going to be transgender in the modern sense then the hormones would have lived up to the hype and he wouldn't need these outfit tricks. Plus the author's influences are from the old days when it was all crossdressing.

And Kirara + Hakari looks more like the typical setup of an HSTS chasing after a straight guy to me.

I have, as of late, once again come across Purple Eyes in the Dark, a work seemingly from time immemorial. Well nigh archaic in terms of its plot and draw, it's a true work of its time in the most succinct of ways. Recommended as a museum piece.

Thankfully the only damage they can do is limited to shitty translations that can be rewritten without much effort.

Although I am surprised they aren't trying to shill actual "woke" series, Yes they do exist and no I'm not talking about series that happen to have some fetish shit (traps, yaoi, yuri, gender swap, setc.)
The only notable one I can think of is Hourou Musuko/Wandering Son which I do remember being talked about by certain anitubers years ago but the rest seem to be limited to oneshots or axed in 2-3 volumes

Didn't one of the characters choose not to transition at the end, though? That's not very woke.
