Anything looking good in the upcoming fall season? Haven't been paying attention.

Holy shit I didn't know about this, totally watching it. Probably will be the only fall anime I'll be watching (which is it just me, or is there a lack of shows for the fall compared to previous seasons?).

If anyone hasn't watched it, you're missing out.

Probably the only Digimon sperg who still sorta cares right now, but Symbiosis's newest trailer came out and

This is your last chance, tri. Fucking impress me.

oh boy more of Digimon Tri. Something I tapped out of five minutes in cause it was that fucking boring. I honestly keep forgetting this seires is still going cause no one talks about them. i hear about the games every now and again.
I do not have high hopes for this, Persona 4 the animation was pretty bad and I doubt changing studios will help. also whens the last A-1 pictures made a good show?

What forums/social media platform are you even lurking on, anywhere I go that has some Digimon fans gathered in one place, there's plenty of talk about it. It's slowed down because of the long-ass schedule between parts and the terrible writing's chasing some people away, but no one's quiet about it.

Isn't there a Poptepipic anime coming this Fall? I think that'll be good.
I'm so fucking out of the loop nowadays. All I do is rewatch Lain because I have that really bad elitist taste

There is. I'm curious about how they're even going to handle making an animation of of it. Releases in October and all that's known about it right now is this one promotional picture.

So this is kinda debatable if this counts as Animé or western, since it's made by a Youtuber, but given the content...

There's this guy in YouTube named Volta Bass who's recently been making animated intros for other YouTubers's channels, and well...I mean, just look at it.

Speaking of anime and Western, here's an article about the difficulty in balancing Japanese and American tastes, not even sure if it's accurate, what do any of you think of this:

Marvel Future Avengers, the latest television anime based on the Marvel comic book superheroes, premieredon July 22. Mainichi Shimbun's Mantan Web website recently interviewed the anime's chief producer and development manager at Marvel Entertainment Yurika Araki Dennis to discuss the series. Araki highlighted the inherent different viewpoints between people in the two countries that impact production.

Araki was asked about the differences that come up when working with companies in both Japan and the United States. She responded, "As far as differences in culture and values between Japan and the U.S., we encounter them with various aspects of the project. Things that are considered natural for the culture of one side are no good in the culture of the other side." However, Araki added that the differences create a fresh atmosphere leading to surprises and laughter.

For example, Araki said that the typical American image of superheroes depicts them with bulging muscles when not wearing body armor. However, Japanese aesthetics typically involve less brawny characters. When looking at the Japanese designs for Marvel's superheroes, members of the American company often request bulkier upper arms and calves. Apparently, eight or nine designs are sometimes rejected while trying to find a balance between Japanese and American styles.

Araki also said that major differences arise on the story composition side when everyone involved in production tries to determine what will be attractive or "cool" for the anime. Americans tend to like a lot of action scenes but get bored if there are a lot of introspective scenes about internal conflict. In contrast, Araki explained, Japanese storytelling involves more build-up providing psychological descriptions of characters. The anime's development team has to explore a variety of solutions to meet the desires of staff in both Japan and the U.S. She added, "I feel that give-and-take regarding the script was the most difficult work."

In addition, Araki noted that differences in cultural and social rules created scenes in the story where it would be natural for a character to apologize in Japanese but say "thank you" in English.

The anime follows Makoto, a young boy who gains superpowers due to an evil gene manipulation experiment. Makoto and other youths join the Avengers as apprentices named "Future Avengers." The anime shows Makoto and others as they train, fight villains and grow, under Avengers members Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Wasp.

i've been watching the ace attorney anime which doesn't seem to get any anything.
Its a good anime, it doesn't follow the game to the t but it gets the job done and it fun.
Also all the objections are perfect with the wind coming out of their fingers while pointing.

A friend and I resumed our travels through the Tenchi Blackhole and started Tenchi in Tokyo today. We know of the negativity fans have about it, but we don't know what to expect of it. We were more-or-less confused as to what was going on and what was happening since there was like no lead up to Tenchi just deciding to go to Tokyo. And then there's this new character that's been introduced, yet she's not playing that big of a role just yet. The villain's motives also aren't clear in summoning these… Ushio and Tora rejects with these Sailor Moon-esque crystals.

So is there anything to keep in mind while watching it to ensure some enjoyment from it, or is it doomed?

Just watched the first Gundam Build Fighters: Battlogue, and I have to say it's damn good. More than makes up for Try and Island Wars IMO.

So outside of the obvious "fujoshis" answer, what was so special about Ouran High School Host Club that made it popular? I ask this because it was so fucking boring that I don't think I got what the appeal of it was.

I've been watching Katanagatari on and off for the past couple weeks. It' a great show with some great visuals, but I just can't binge it. I don't know why, but 45 minute run time for each episode bugs me. I think it's because their are certain scenes of dialogue exchange that go on for a fucking eternity when they don't have to.

This should be the next ep for T Children. I don't remember how different it went from the omake to the actual thing but still. Hype.

I find it strange how the manga I've picked up that lost their writer early on (Ajin and The Climber, to be specific) get so much more interesting once it happens.
