Just started watching some anime after a bit of hiatus when I finished CCS.

Rewatched Trigun, and loved it just as much as ever. I will say though I might be one of the few who liked the more silly and episodic first half over the more focused second half. The series as a whole still holds up great, and Legato still has to be one of my favorite villains.

His death scene still gives me goosebumps. Holy shit one of the most intense moments in anime

Also I guess I've been watching some "not really" anime. Watched the first season of Netflix's Castlevania, and just started watching Cybersix. So far I'm really enjoying both, and really interested to see where they go.

I think this is why I prefer the anime over the manga. It has more light moments and gives a bit more depth to the characters.

100% agreed, Legato's death scene is chilling. The fact that he's smiling even after dying really disturbs me. Amazing character. Also Wolfwood's death is so much more impactful in the anime IMO.

Not that the manga is bad, it just doesn't really tug at your emotions as much.

Ooooh, Cybersix, good choice (especially that one episode they couldn't air on Fox down here due to an unflattering Asian stereotype character, yet ballsy TMS animated it anyway).

I know I'll get some flak for this, but I unironically prefer the 2003 FMA anime to Brotherhood, even if Brotherhood is more faithful to the manga. The first anime's story was more enjoyable to me than the story of the manga/Brotherhood.
There were aspects of FMA 2003 that I enjoyed and ones that I didn't. The story was darker and the Homonculi were more interesting, but there were also completely unnecessary elements like Mustang being the one to kill Winry's parents, and then also the entirety of the two worlds thing was confusing and pretty convoluted. I'll totally admit FMA 2003 has the better soundtrack though, Ready Steady Go is the first song that comes to mind for FMA to me and the soundtrack in general is stellar.

Dude, I'm not super into Dragonball overall and I've never had much interest in figures, but holy fuck, do I want this.

That is beautiful holy cow. From a glance it looked like someone was messing around in Blender and decided to post screenshots of what they made. Probably just has some really damn good lighting on it, but that's just amazing.

Uh, I tried Regalia. The cute girls are a turn-off, as are the pedo incest undertones present. Hate hate hate hate hate.

The mech is fucking awesome, though. Looks like Soulgain's lift-a-day sister.

I don't remember anything about Regalia outside of the fact it had to go on hiatus to be rewritten from scratch. Because apparently the original script was too convoluted or something. re-animated from scratch. LOL Actas

But yeah, the mech designs were pretty good. 'Tis a shame everything else about the anime was utterly forgettable. Kind of like with Comet Lucifer, which is also known as "Ghibli-Wannabe: The Anime", but still had some wasted potential with how it approached the mecha genre.

At the risk of being off-topic, there are certain live-action shows I'd love to see redone as anime. This is one of them....

Was thinking of starting full metal panic

What am i in for?
Bounces between serious and comedy for the first season. They decided to separate the two which is why Second Season is more serious while all the funny parts are in the spinoff Fumoffu.
