Bruh, they have the most milquetoast, vague, non committal stance on immigration possible and they've kicked out anybody who ventured onto actual immigration reducing/limiting policies.

This is another funny one. The MP was a Labour woman called Claudia Webbe who was convicted of harassing a woman who had an affair with her husband, but refused to resign as an MP despite being convicted of a crime. The previous MP was a Labour guy called Keith Vaz who was exposed as using eastern European rentboys and giving them cocaine while pretending to be a washing machine salesman called Jim. Both of those two stood as independents this time, alongside various other independents and the official Labour candidate. This seat is also the most Asian place in the UK with all kinds of niche allegiances around that. So all of that together clearly split the left vote and allowed the Tory to win
 
I expect some very Kino tik toks of Nigel taking big verbal shits in the commons. I bet nobody in that stuffy chamber ever thought they would see the day that man got a seat on the bench.

Douglas Alexander has been successfully installed in a Scottish seat again. Anyone who knows the Labour party and the career of Douglas Alexander (a genuinely pleasant and competent hatchet man) can see the writing on the wall for Anas Sarwar there. Alexander was infamously sent north to sack his own sister Wendy as Labour leader in Scotland, and he did it. Sarwar is well known to not meet with the big team in London's approval, but the diddies who surround him are even less competent than him.

Now his replacement has been carefully positioned in a Scottish seat, albeit a Westminster one. No matter, some Labour functionary in Holyrood will fall on their sword conveniently between now and the Holyrood elections.
