Something actually happens, but not much. Unless he pleads to something.

The next hearing scheduled won't be on a Thursday.

Chris will eventually get a very light prison sentence, or not at all. Maybe not on this date, but eventually.

Prison would be over a year, which would be pretty excessive. In the only slightly likely event he gets any time at all it will be well less than a year and served in jail.
