Taking bets: Which will give out first?
A. The string of continuances.
B. The willingness of the plaintiff to give a shit.
C. Chris' overtaxed, cholesterol-laden heart.

It'll keep on going and going and going and going and going... nothing outlasts the continuances.

At this point, I don't even care anymore. Maybe it's because the legal system in Virginia has literally seen nothing like Chris before, and thus doesn't know what the fuck to do with him, or maybe they're just as lazy and autistic as he is. Either way, the continuances are just irritating now.

What would really get me is if he actually does gets sentenced, and nobody's there to witness his pre-Bubba-Butt-Buddy temper tantrum. Which will certainly be the case because is anybody really going to waste time to get down there when all that's probably going to happen is another continuance and more paparazzi shots of the back of Chris' head?

There isn't a plaintiff. This is a criminal case. The adverse party is Virginia itself, which like other states is an implacable entity that never runs out of patience. It will prosecute you until you die or it wins or loses.

I wonder what would happen if one or more persons among the audience happen to wear a Sonic Boom shirt during Chris' hearing.

Chris will be declared King in the North, and his sworn bannermen will swarm west to usurp Phil the Fat, the King Under the Bridge.

Maybe i just don't get the legal system, but what's the point of all these continuances? It's just a big waste of time and money for the state right? It's not like they're waiting to investigate the crime further, the judge could just say "alright whatever do community service" and save everyone a lot of time.

It's funny how expectations have dropped with each successive court case when logically they should be rising. During the first and second court cases, people were excitedly speculating about what would happen and his sentence despite that the likelihood of him getting sentenced at that point was 0%. Since then there have been five continuances (I think). It's possible that this could be the one; not likely, but within the realm of possibility.

Please wear attire appropriate for court if you are there.

This is the one where I think they at least have to mumble out a semi-coherent excuse as to why they can't go forward.

The judge will rip off Sonic's arms and toss them into the cheering crowd where Chris's true lesbian sweetheart will emerge and they will ride off and create Crystal and then maybe Chris will shit his pants and play some video games.
