The only thing I really recall is that Brad has a habit of backtalking people and possibly does cocaine. I'd take that over Doug "Casting couches women/thinks he's the next Spielburg/Fucked 90 grand out of retarded fanbase" Walker as a performer any day of the week honestly; he at least is somewhat capable of suppressing his fucked up life.

Was there any actual evidence of Doug casting couching women or is that just /tv/ being fanciful again?

I love this rumor. Especially the part where it was pointed out that even though Lindsay slept around, she refused to touch Linkara.

I really hope it's true.

The NC was never a separate character.

Sometimes that line is valid. The AVGN, the Cinema Snob, and Plinkett are all examples of guys who are both Internet critics and separate characters. But most of the time, it's just a line people throw out to attempt keeping their audience from taking things too personally, and allow plausible deniability when they talk about how much they'd like to rape Hope Chapman.

Doug isn't even kind of an actor. He "plays" the same character every time: a screechy, unstable, hair-trigger, nerdy sociopath. Go back and look at his stuff. Is there really any significant difference between Doug and the Critic? Hell, even Melvin, brother of the Joker and Chester A. Bum? It's the same fucking routine every time.
AVGN played that character for years. People loved AVGN.

// I think AVGN's quality has seriously declined. Atari Sports was one of his greatest episodes, and nothing since has been anywhere near that.

I think it has to do with the scripts. Old episodes were great because they had a strong overarching theme which provided a cohesive structure. With that, they could tell jokes, but it didn't come across as dumb, irrelevant nitpicking. It felt like there was a serious point, and everything in the video built up to it. (The videos with a long closing monologue are the best examples of this.)

Recent scripts have no such structure. They feel like a list of Matei jokes, spliced with cutaways of the nerd grimacing. And then the video ends. Actually, it's very irate gamer.

// Old Nostalgia Critic episodes were typically more like this recent AVGN stuff. But Doug's new stuff usually has a strong central theme, and feels cohesive, like old AVGN. I think people should give Doug Walker another chance. (That being said, I still rarely watch new Nostalgia Critics, just like I rarely watch old AVGNs. However, I think it's because the genre has worn on me.)

I think what changed with the AVGN is that James just lost the passion for it, he suffered pretty intense burnout from what I heard and maybe he's attempting a gradual decline for the character. It can be argued that it's the same for Doug, except he's now reviewing low hanging fruit and newer films to appease his young retard base rather than going after films he watched as a child, the passion was forced out.

A lot of why NC's new videos lost their appeal for me, is now it's just a manchild saying 'things were better in my day' rather than the manchild saying 'You know, maybe shit wasn't all good in my day'

I have far greater respect for James than I do Doug, James has an actual passion for the craft of film making rather than Doug, its just that his character has gotten extremely repetitive and boring for him so he has no more passion for it.

He also made the right idea of making it distinctive that he was playing a character rather than keeping it so wishy washy like Doug where people are confusing his opinions for the NC's. And Cinemassacre is far tighter run than TGWTG because the inner circle is smaller rather than a group of weirdos who don't really know each other that well on the internet

The people questioning Doug Walker's ability to do serious reviews, check out Disneycember.

Each December, Doug releases over 30 serious reviews of Disney movies, at least one review a day, and each review 3-5 minutes long. In them, he is receptive, insightful, and to the point. They are among my favorite reviews on the internet, behind only Plinkett. The rest of Doug's videos I've seen aren't anywhere close. (To be fair, I still somewhat like Nostalgia Critic and have watched quite a bit of it over the years - Plinkett's Reviews of the Star War Prequels are simply a masterpiece.)

I've embedded a compilation of the Pixar Disneycembers.

Fucking Linkara would be terrifying because the dude looks like he's made out of biscuit dough.

I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree with you here. Doug doesn't necessarily say anything of value in his December videos, and a lot of them seem disingenuous and rushed. Doug also does videos where he tells you facts about movie that "you probably didn't know". He legit just reads off the imdb trivia page for each movie he covers.

Basically Doug's business is making as many low effort videos as possible for the money. I've stated this before, but if you look at his Adventure Time recaps, it's crystal clear he doesn't give a shit about what he's watching, he's just pandering to his fans. And the sad thing is, they keep eating it up.

Looking back at them, TBH - these are my least favorite vids from this guy in general and a key factor that I feel he needs to shut up and stick to his act as NC (as much as I never want to watch him again, now that I fucking know what a terrible human being he is (that includes reruns of his older work as well!)), IMHO.

Lewis probably refused to touch her since she doesn't have a cock.

But he did with iron Liz. Speaking of...

I'd still call Iron Liz a "he". Moreso because he doesn't look like a woman and no real woman would ever want to establish a relationship with Linkara even if he were the last man on earth and his semen with defective genetics are the last hope of humanity's continuation until the sun swells up and torches this god-forsaken planet.

InB4 Cis-scim binary labels.

Nah, I'd call Iron Liz a woman because she's at least trying to become one and she hasn't pissed me off like Brianna Wu has, so I may as well be respectful to her.

Also, I bet Linkara made the move on her. If I remember rightly, Liz dumped him.

Ugh, that was the worst and most lazy impersonation of someone who is already bad and lazy at the same time.

But the funny thing is that Doug is jealous of Wiseau's success as an ironically abysmal director, actor and filmmaker for making a "so bad it's acceptable" movie about his own life so infamous and memetic, something Doug had tried with Kickassia and didn't quite meet the same standards "The Room" (or even AVGN's shitfest of a movie for that matter) did.

While Machimina and other big-shot internet networks are begging for Tommy to make appearances in their shows (no doubt to mock and laugh at his Pan-European accent and pitch in the never-tiring "Oh hi Mark" quote) Doug and co. tried to lure MTV and have crossovers with other shows to no avail.

The interview she did with the Internet Aristocrat improved my opinion of her a lot. She acknowledges she is and will always be a biological man genetically, and has gone through the trouble of getting properly diagnosed. She does not let being trans define her; she is not just a transwomen but is a women. I recommend watching the interview, she is not a fan of the SJW community at all. Probably why she and Linkara didn't stay together or at least one of the reasons.
