The kids have the N64, and took Goldeneye with them, so I wish I had it again sometimes. I absolutely loved the game. I remember how difficult it was getting 007 difficulty, and I was so proud of that accomplishment. I played a little on emulator a few years back, and I have to be very honest - it did not age very well in my opinion.
Which, 64 or Wii?That's actually one of the big classics of the N64 I don't own but my brother bought the Wii version. Is it worse?

its ok but overrated. perfect dark was better in every way
Perfect Dark has aged better IMO. I mainly keep the game for Nostalgic reasons.
Is the wii version a shitty version of the n64 game I meanWhich, 64 or Wii?
I've never played the that version, but I have played the one for the Xbox 360, which I can assume is similar to the Wii version. While not terrible, it was nowhere near as good as the n64 version. Is the wii version a shitty version of the n64 game I mean

Never became a thing because licensing rights.
It's thanksgiving 1997, a cousin of mine brought a N64 to my aunt and uncle's house along with Goldeneye, Doom 64 and Shadow of The Empire, all of which was my introduction to 3D gaming.
Sadly I never played any more of Goldeneye than what I briefly played that day, but I was a huge fan of Timesplitters 2 and 3.

It's fascinating how different people all over the world comes up with the same thing. We mostly played proximity mines + gru offices. With one hit kills. This and Bomberman 64 were the two games perpetually shuffled into and out of my n64 during sleepovers in gradeschool. Proximity mines as the primary on facility or temple is great fun due to the ongoing mind games of distracting the others while you set your trap and then attempting to herd them into it with the starter pistol.
