  1. Twin sticks movements lower the difficulty even more, the AI of the enemy is designed to believe you are with a single stick Nintendo 64 controller so you can turbo rape them very easily
N64 has twin sticks. Use the c-buttons.

Very interested in Goldfinger 64. Will be picking up a repro cart of that.

Did the leak also come with the source code, or is it all just binaries?

Grapevine rumors are saying there's a partial source leak but I haven't seen the files yet and there's little other information beyond a few lines in irc saying it doesn't compile and 'some stuff seems to be missing'. Still optimistic.

Necroing a little to put a interview Ars technica did to the devs of the Xboner remake and pretty much confirm what i saw in my playthrough, they just ported the entire game with fancy graphics and let the AI intact and for the surprise of no one it was Nintendo who killed the entire thing

I watched most of that XBLA gameplay video by Graslu and I notice that on Control he stands on the balcony and camps the stairs instead of standing by Natalya. Is this what you meant when you told me to git gud, @X Pac Heat? Because this strategy changes everything for me. II can't believe I didn't see it sooner :(

sorta

I still stand by Natalya and just keep firing at the stairs from the ground level until I hear the glass shatter, then I know to aim for the left and right of her quickly.

standing on the upper level in front of the stairs works just as well I guess, I just kind of like being close to Natalya to maybe take a hit or two for her if I'm not quick enough on the draw.

the important thing to know is that 99% of the enemies come down from the central staircase and then go to the left or the right so if you manage to kill most of them before they can fork off it saves a lot of hassle. that was the reason i mentioned using the pistol because in my strat your farther away and thus don't burn through ammo missing them as much. if your closer to them you dont have to worry about that so you can go with the smg.

Edit: Watching his stream, it seems the side guards never showed up. I wonder if they only show up if you are on the ground level with her or if that was a 360 change. I'll have to check it out because if so his strat is def. better than mine.

I sure I saw a treasure trove of info on this level (and others) but now I can't find it for the life of me. It was probably buried in one of The-Elite's threads. Anyway I'm sure it said the hatless guards (the ones that are gunning for Natalya) can only spawn in the attic. I may be misremembering but it seems consistent with my attempts on Agent so far (I had bad experiences with this level as a child so I need to psych myself up for 00 🧩 I know). Anyway as long as you stop the hatless guys from running downstairs it seems you can stop them from breaking the glass in the first place.

Edit: found the info I was talking about.

I'm surprised there's no mention of the fact that Activision was given the James Bond licence in 2006, which was surely another contributing factor?

Nintendo had nothing to do with it. It's mostly MGM/EON's fault.

Bond won't appear in any games anymore?

Didn't IOI just announce they're working on a 007 game?

Oh dear god...it's going to star black lady 007 isn't it?
