Why is he being so snide about his calendar? He asks for one every year. Leanna bought him a calendar each Christmas they were together, and now it's Kat's job. I hate that I know that. And yeah, it's a little baffling given that he has a phone he's constantly glued to and his giant gaming calendar. Wasn't there a separate chore calendar, with the daily meal plan on it too? I'm sort of amused by DSP needing a calendar in every possible context.
 
In fairness I loved the desk calendar I had as a kid because I was like 9 and trying to be a GROWN UP and it had a Garfield strip on each day.

So I can definitely appreciate Phil's excitement.

I think this shows us that Phil deep down wants to have a redemption arc, he wants to stop being the lolcow punching bag of the internet that everyone hates and stays away from and go from that to being liked by everyone, that's why he was so obsessed with being redeemed with that ProJared tweet, he wants to be redeemed so bad that he looks for any opportunity to say everyone opinion of him changed positively, that's why he also says "I have matured and changed so much over the years". He also had a freudian slip and said that Scrooge became a philanthropist after "on twitch" and corrected himself to "a twitch" , this tells me he wants to be redeemed after twitch.

Also remember that HE CRIED AT THE END OF SCROOGE WITH LEANNA so he feels a deep connection to the redemption story.

Phil I'm not saying this to make a joke but you are literally irredeemable, you can't have a story arc when you change and go from lolcow to being loved by everyone if at no point you admit you are in the wrong and change, you are too much of a psychopath autistic narcissist to ever have the self reflection required for redemption.

Lets take the Scrooge example, the ghost of christmas past shows Phil how he told a beggar to fuck off when the beggar asked him for a few pennies on christmas and Phil replies " That's not what happened on my screen!! The ghost cheated, I tried to throw the beggar a few pennes pennies and my move didn't come out because of dementia induced brain lag ACK ACK ACK stupid idiot". You are literally incapable of self reflection, you never admitted any wrong doing in your life without giving an excuse of how it was not your fault,when you say things like "I have made plenty of mistakes" you never mention which ones and if you do you give excuses on how you dindu nuffin wrong, there is no redemption possible for you Phil, you are incapable of change, you stopped growing intellectually and emotionally at 13.

You literally have one of the easiest life in the world, all you need to redeem yourself is to stop being an autistic toxic narcissist and you could do that next stream but you won't since you did nothing wrong. This is another example of Phil wanting all the praise without doing any effort, he wants to stop being the lolcow that everyone hates, laughs and avoids but doesn't want to change.

The only realistic way that occurs to me that will kinda make you redeem yourself would be to leave everything you own to charity and kill yourself, I'm not saying that in a "lol kys" meme way , its just that realistically you will never admit you are wrong so I find the idea of you necking yourself on stream after a 8 hour rant about how detractors ruined your third bankruptcy more likely that admitting any wrong doing, that's why I say you will kinda redeem yourself by eating a bullet and leaving everything to the homeless, you will not understand that everything you did was a "TIHYDP life" but at least you would do something good for someone else for once.

I love the thought that deep down he just hates himself. Just look at how much he reads KF. He could rip so many ideas from here that make him look good. He could have done what another poster recommended with the DansGaming thing. Donating the 250$ he made back. He so desperately wants to be a better person but without any of the effort or sacrifice it takes. He really just wants a fairy godmother to make his heart grow three sizes.

On a somewhat related note, does anyone else know someone in their personal lives that has the same kind of arrested development that Dave has? Because I do, and it's absolutely bonkers. The exact way that people will point out every lie of DSP's is what people do to him. And somehow, he succeeds similarly to the pig. Is being completely shameless just turn you into teflon? Are people just pussies for not holding them accountable?

Terrible grammar aside, yes. Yes it does. Sometimes success is to just bully defeat away. What he did with the bankruptcy hearing is the perfect example. If you blinked for a second and gone ahhhh no actually my wife uses that TV, then it all spirals into tax fraud and all the pieces coming undone. But by sticking to his lies until the end, he made it through. And it was because he never felt guilt, nor shame. A better man would have been honest, and paid the piper. But not Phil. No siree
 
Watching Tevin's Askdakahang restream and this thing about relationships in video games... it's so so so fucking stupid. He's equating that to people with waifus, but he also thinks that waifus are the player character's relationship with the character, not the player with the character. Am I fucked up or are waifus more about your obsession from meatspace, not from within the game? Because then you'd need a different waifu per game. And that seems to contradict the idea of having a waifu.

I don't know about any of this but he fucking sucks.

Oh here's another cultish thing he does: whenever he gives some stupid fucking incomprehensible opinion about something, he immediately follows it up with "a MATEUR person will listen to what I say and go 'Oh, I get it now'. But then other people will TWIST IT and not pay attention to what I said". This is this really passive aggressive verbal tic, an attempt to maintain control of a narrative. The smart people agree with me and, more importantly listen only to me. The only reason you could disagree with me is if you're a fucking idiot.

He did this fucking straw man thing when someone asked him why he prints the questions out. He said, "I could put them on my smart phone, but what's the difference between reading them off my smartphone and reading them off a piece of paper? There's no difference and it doesn't matter, why do you care?" But of course there's no difference between reading them off one THING or another, it's the difference between PRINTING THEM OUT and NOT PRINTING THEM OUT. Nearly every fucking sentence that comes out of his mouth is this fucked up distortion. He can't stand other people calling him out on fucking anything.

It's Christmas! How about some context as to what an actual gaming office looks like? A blast up the past. With 3 consoles to the left, 1 under the desk, 2 PC's under the desk and a miserable fucker behind the camera phone.

When you're working such a shit job, doing ridiculous hours, with people treating you like an idiot, all for joke money... you find ways to motivate yourself. There isn't a chat room of wheelchairs hand jobbing you through the day. Falling asleep at "work" when your "job" is walking 20 seconds to your bedroom and playing a game is inexcusable. It's insulting to the viewers.

What is the latest excuse? Khet finishes work at midnight so he doesn't get to bed until 3am. Is he her legal guardian? Can she not spend 30 seconds unaccompanied before mortally wounding herself? Is it 3 hours of gentle rocking to get her to sleep? They're adults; she works part time and he wastes 4 hours a day repeating nonsense on pre-streams to avoid "work". Just admit you're avoiding each other and get a divorce from the sham marriage.

Complaining about getting a desk calendar. Like was said above in the thread, Phil specifically asks for a desk calendar every year. He's complaining that he got what he asked for.

Is he sad that he didn't get anything fun? Like a brand new Playstation 5? Oh, his "job" is playing video games every day. You can't get him video games because he already has them all.

Maybe he's disappointed Kat didn't buy him more "mince meat" pies.

Not even then, humble-bragging about it on twitter as if that's the actions of a perfectly normal person.

I agree with most of this, but I'd actually argue it doesn't make Phil a cult leader. In the past, maybe, but it's more like he's a cult mascot these days. I think there was a time where his paypigs genuinely believed his sob stories. Nowadays, eh, there are still some, usually the big wheelchairs that actually believe his sob stories, but it feels like the majority of his fans have accepted he's full of it. His manipulation attempts don't really work. The majority of people aren't donating to support Phil and help him pay his bills for the 30th time that month, they're just doing it to feel like heroes in the war against detractors, or because they somehow think they're trolling Phil or other dumb reasons.

An actual leader is clever and manipulative. I don't normally like to go overbaord with the pig luck, but this is one area where he is legitimately lucky to have so many sad people using him as a proxy. All that being said, I do think he tries to be a leader, he just fails at it. His lies are so transparent these days, and he's too lazy to keep up with them or even make them believable. He's also delusional enough to think he's a skilled liar and expert persuader.

Luckily for Phil that his breakfast is home made, because breakfast for two, with coffee would have set him back nearly $30

So I dont know how much Doordash charge Stateside, but if you include tips for the driver, because that helps them the most, there is no way Phil just blew $40 on one meal when he cant afford groceries or eat a Calender for breakfast...
