Disaster Active shooter alert issued for areas in and around Tumbler Ridge, B.C. - Residents asked to shelter in place; suspect described as "woman" in a dress with brown hair

An active shooter alert has been issued for a large area in and around Tumbler Ridge in B.C.'s northeast.

The alert was issued Tuesday at 2:15 p.m. PT by RCMP, and it covers Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd, Dawson Creek and areas surrounding them.

Police say those in the Tumbler Ridge area should stay indoors and shelter in place, and not leave their homes.

The suspect in the case has been described as a woman in a dress with brown hair.

Anyone who sees the suspect has been asked not to approach them and to call 911.

Someone I know has been on Venlafaxine for over a decade; whilst it does definitely help her have far fewer ‘unbearably low’ periods (I don’t know if I’d describe her as being happier, but she seems to be slightly more resilient during bad times) she isn’t able to go without them because the withdrawal effects from tapering are so bad. If she misses one daily dose, she has ‘brain zaps’ and complete emotional breakdowns 12hrs later. It sounds awful, and I can’t believe doctors still just prescribe them Willy-nilly Without checking that it’s absolutely vital for the person they’re prescribing it to.
