Disaster Active shooter alert issued for areas in and around Tumbler Ridge, B.C. - Residents asked to shelter in place; suspect described as "woman" in a dress with brown hair

An active shooter alert has been issued for a large area in and around Tumbler Ridge in B.C.'s northeast.

The alert was issued Tuesday at 2:15 p.m. PT by RCMP, and it covers Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd, Dawson Creek and areas surrounding them.

Police say those in the Tumbler Ridge area should stay indoors and shelter in place, and not leave their homes.

The suspect in the case has been described as a woman in a dress with brown hair.

Anyone who sees the suspect has been asked not to approach them and to call 911.

First it was they were never going to release the shooter's name or any information on them. Now they're in coverup mode while articles (on the weekend, mind) are still being posted.

What exactly would constitute acceptable coverage?

I'm not denying that troons have been handled with kid gloves, especially in the Canadian media. The bullshit with Keffals, as well as how Janiv has been covered is enough to demonstrably prove that. But what exactly should be coming out or being covered right now? I'm seeing stories about political leaders coming out, recaps on victims, and details about shit going on in other provinces (Alberta had a number of scares, for example.)

Gary Ridgeway, the Green River Killer, believed himself to be untouchable and ahead of the cops at all times, when the truth was that in the 80s their tools were laughably primitive and he was simply lucky to be killing in a then-undetectable way. He'd "outsmarted" them and escaped questioning because they didn't have the means to actually put evidence to his crimes. As soon as DNA sequencing and other forensics improved, they reviewed old evidence and pretty much immediately caught him. This societal glazing, treating them as "masterminds", having this reverence and ooh spooky media coverage of them, absolutely encourages copycats and glamorizes their own behaviors to the killers who absolutely consume this media right alongside the general public.
