I am of the belief that the county/prosecutor has looked at this thread and concluded that "This footage can not come out."
Who's to say that the sheriff's office hasn't already deleted the footage?
Who's to say that the county's judicial system hasn't already made this a giant formality/runaround for Null, only to have it denied at the end?

I've waited a year to see the video and I can wait another. The setback bugged me ten minutes ago when I learned of it, but I've already moved on to gleeful anticipation of what's to come.
 
This isn't even going to work out. We will just double down and document a lot more. It only makes the eventual release of the bodycam footage ever so sweeter.

How many of these officials have run opposed in the past? Apparently the Rekietas weren't funding the Sheriff last term, but what about the DA? Are judges elected in MN?

How much money would we need to set up a PAC? I'm thinking, Citizens for A Transparent and Open Kandiyohi - CATOK.

All these elected officials need to be run out of office, possibly tarred and feathered on the way out (metaphorically, unless it's still legal- IDK, MN has some dumb laws). The only thing these kind of small town Andy Griffiths respond to is getting removed from their cushy jobs, on the taxpayer's dime no less.
 
When this started, Nick was claiming he was being set up by the county. He was a persecuted victim and they had no right to search home for the drugs they found that weren't there. Now that the court case is settled and he actually is guilty, he is also accusing the state of stealing from the drugs he formerly claimed didn't exist, as he notices in his bodycam footage. THEN, the county is also helping him to protect the bodycam footage from release at the 11th hour. What the fuck is going on here?

There is more public interest and reason for this footage to be legally released than ever before.

It would be in defiance of the admin judge’s order, but if it were my case I’d file something immediately telling them to retain it even if they’re claiming it’s not on the record for the criminal case. Which it probably is, but this ruling makes it easier for them to nuke the footage and claim ignorance.
 
So, they are saying that since neither side used the bodycam footage at any point during the case against Nick, they don't have to release it?

I find that hard to believe.

I believe if Null is going to sue he can have a letter sent demanding the retention of all relevant records, which would stop the deletion of anything related to the pending lawsuit.

I still suspect that some people may be trying to prevent a murder-suicide of two parents and five children by their drug addicted father.

Remember that everyone in that county knows about them by now. We see little bits (albeit frequently) of Nick's behavior, and we form our opinion of where he's at mentally, but people in the county talk. They see his children, they see Nick's behavior, and there are innumerable interactions in meatspace that almost all of us here lack, given our portals into his digital life.

There might very well be a locally growing belief that he's a time bomb and that preventing the video release will prevent a horrific tragedy that will make international headlines. This guy was living in a crack house, with crackwhores and children and with semiautomatic weaponry. This guy has a kill list.
